Well you're welcome. But I honestly didn't see anyone disagree with you that what he said was wrong. There is nothing wrong with healthy political debate. I love to do it but purposely stay out of it on TA. Its a powder keg where people get all worked up and take things personally.
If people could learn toleration and acceptance maybe others would value itelligent constructive debate. Demon you yourself are guilty for riling ppl up in this thread. Again nothing wrong with that "per-se" but we must all understand the limitations of expressing opinion on the internet. |

I think I made the mistake of puting the words political in my original scentence hence the reason why people misunderstood it.Yes political debates are good because of people having the ability to post their oponions. If I gave the wrong impression to anyone sorry. That wasn't my impression. But I do have to disagree with you bud, sorry, but I am not stating a political thread. Only to raise awareness. I apoligize if people misunderstood it. |

Seriously guy, if you get out a little more and live life (maybe get a girlfriend), things like this won't get you rilled up so much.
If I told my girlfriend that I got pissed over something someone wrote on the interent, she would laugh at me and make jokes..lol
People need reality checks, and you don't get that by surfing the net....that's for sure. |

| i gotta agree with what LKD said earlier. i don't condone what Melemike said at all, but the thing is that by giving him attention it's almost like giving what he wants in the first place. I know that a lot of you guys who are really against him are of middle eastern decent and i too would be just as offended if someone said something like that about Asian ppl. The problem is that with him there are probably a million other ppl out there who are exactly the same. I'm not suggesting we should tolerate racism, but i'm sure that if you guys come together and PM enough mod's , someone will do something about it. Unfortunately, racism is just one of those things that's always gonna be around whether we want it or not. Going off on a crusade trying to purge every racist biggot on TA just isn't going to happen. When Melemike leaves, someone else is gonna take his place with the same kind of insult. All we can do is PM mods when we see it and hope they do something about it. peace. |

Again.. who are you?? what makes you so much better to question whether or not someone should go out and get a life or a girlfriend...I dont think you are in the position to say that Demon needs a reality check....you are after all replying to this thread as well.

Wait, wait, you aren't stating a political thread? Well the nature of his comments are political (and also VERY ing wrong and biggoted)so how can this thread not be political? Racism in itself can be political in terms of how it is being put forth (specifically how mike or whoever does it). What I would have done was put a link to the political forum and say something to the effect of "Look at these horrible horrible and completely unwarrented comments" etc and please respond. Simple, compact and doesn't even make a huge mess of the TO forums.

This is a personal issue and if you felt you were discriminated against, then talk to the HIM (or the mod), not ME.
In the real in' world if I felt that way, I don't go yelling in the streets that someone (whom you don't even know) called me a [insert problem here].
Seriously, the only people I know of that would do that probably eat flies, have conversations with themselves (get answers) and see pink and blue elephants coming out of the walls...
You know what. It doesn't matter to me anymore.
You know why?
Because of the way you just spammed this whole thread like a little incompetent 5 year old that didn't get their way and is now screaming to the world because they figure that everyone else should know too, hoping to get some pat on the head.
