O,k,

stoned review in da house....

i cried at the beginning. very nostalgic for me. as some can remember! very uplifting and emotionally charged. what a start to the night. and here we go.

i was surprised at the beginning of the set. started off really high energy, which is unlike orkidea's style. but i enjoyed it anyhow. no real cheesey .

the last hour got my ass shakin'. none stop. he tore it up.

i picked him after tiesto to make it as one of the top ten. at only 25, i think a few more years and he might be the next to make the top ten.

he didn't play the matrix track he produced, that was a dissapointment.

he was above and beyond many i've heard before, and his set was a far cry above 00's.

done and done,

peace

Flemming what can I say, I thought he had the worst set of the whole night. Nice first part of the set, but than he went goa and I was like WTF? (DISCLAIMER: Before you go and start flaming, think about what others said about Ivals, they did not like him, but I loved him) I know Flemming is notorious for playing some of it in his sets, but my God enough is enough. He went on for at least 2 hours with it if not more. I used to like Goa in '96-'97 period but than it before I got into trance and later progg and techno. And has anyone noticed he used 95% CD's when he spun? WTF? None the less he spun a few good tunes.

omg!! i kill j00!!!!
firstly, there is one 'm' in 'fleming' :p
secondly j00f loves his psy, thats what he plays, what he loves, and what do u mean 'notorious'?? grrr
thirdly, whats wrong with using cd-rs? he cant help it if artists keep sending him brand new unreleased material to play!!

sorry for sounding harsh, but...grrrr! dont diss my j00f!

:D

does anyone have tracklists? :)

after last night, he's definately up there as my fav's; great dj and a great guy. unfortunately missed state 01 :( but I knew that Orkidea was amazing from others, and from the sets I've downloaded by him.

And he produced a Matrix track? damn...I wish he played that :(

Finally we get 2 headliners and they both kicked ass!!!
This is the third time for me seeing Orkidea and he delivered once again. His mixing was pretty much dead on, and did a great job bringing in each track. Orkidea, at some points, i felt were a little slow, but i have to say the last hour of his set was incredible.

Orkidea played:
Altas - Compass Error (Tarrentella vs Redanka Remake)
Fluid In Motion - Insurgery
Flash - The Day After (Perfecto remix)
U2 - Staring At The Sun (Brothers in Rhythm mix)
Dj Tomcraft - Loneliness
Orkidea's set 8.5/10

Flemming... I haven't seen this guy since WEMF 2001, i thought he was amazing and better this time around. Solid mixing all way through. Now, i'm not much into psy, but lastnight JOOF did a crazy job on making me love his set. Even though he didn't start playing the banging tracks right off the bat, i still thought he had the top set of the night.

Flemming played:
Junkie XL feat. Saffron - Beauty Never Fades
Fluid In Motion - Insurgery
Bk & Nick Sentience - Flash (Original Mix)
Faithless - God Is A Dj (Astral Projection remix)
Energy 52 - "Cafe Del Mar 2002 (JOOF remix)"
JOOF's set = 9.5/10 (no dissappointments)

Since i was way to tired after being up for an extremely long and hard day and having very little sleep the night before, i ended up leaving early during dekoze's set. so no review on that other then his opener snipet from "Beauty Never fades" and going into Ashtrax - "Digital Reason (Ogenkt Clinic mix)" was cool i guess. And always the predictable "Baguette" (Dekoze's all-time fav track) mades it's appearance... great mix job though!!!

I give this party a 8/10... only problem i had was that the sound was way too loud... earplugs is a must for next time, and the other problem i had was that even through Viva a decent venue, it's also is dirty venue... plus the decor could use an upgrade, this place reminds me of the docks main room only alot smaller. The dj's lastnight were great though, so that makes up for it.
Btw we need to know the track played right after Atlas - "Compass Error", it was the first track that the crowd really reacted to early in Orkidea's set.

Oh my god, what an amazing night!!! Music was good all night (not amazing), my favourite was Orkidea. Dekoze was good, but I've seen him much better (i.e. much harder), and Hartec was as I expected from what everyone said about him, liked the second half of his set better.

But the real treat was the absolutely amazing atmosphere created by all the TA's and TA friends. I was expecting more of a genoish crowd, and in fact the crowd turned out to be one of the best ever. Oh, and Viva, WOW!!!

Thanks so much to everyone for a great night, see you all soon hopefully. Special thanks to Swamper and Itikia.

Wow. What a fantasic night. I'm very happy I decided to go last minute. I needed this, my cheeks were literly in pain by the end from smiling so much throughout the night.
I got there at about 10pm and there couldn't have been more then 2 or 3 people on the entire dance floor. In the words of xtollo "It feels like a highschool dance". Everyone was standing around the sides of the event.
The first DJ on was playing hard for an opener set and I don't think a lot of people were ready or capable of jumping right into the party like that. Good mixing, and in hindsight it was a good way to let the crowd know that they were in for a night of bang'n trance. By 11pm the place had tranceformed. I turned around and it seemed like instantly 200 more people came from nowhere. By this point there were more bodies on the floor but it seemed only to be the case because all of the couches on the sides had been filled up.
Orkidea,.... um wow. This set surpassed my expectations and was increadibly melodic (in a sort of overdrive distortion kind of way). I was having a blast within 10 minutes of his set. Somewhere in the middle of the set my night took a turn for the worse with an unfourtunate run in with a single security guard who felt he had the right to throw me out his way dispite having easily 7 feet on either side of me go around. Worst part was, he was half my size (made me feel like pushing him out my way next time!) and there was no apparent reason for his behaviour (ie emergency that he had to get to). This jerk dampered my next 30 minutes after which the music was so good it put me back in a excelent mood again.
J00F was great. He mixed in a lot of psy trance (borderline goa at times) which was energetic and nice to hear out. Most of the crowd seemed to like it as by this time the place off the hook. It got more insane when the epic stuff got dropped in from time to time.
Dekoze was so into it it perked me back up and got my sore ass dancing again. It was very diverse set begining with Techno to hard trance, to breaks, to melodic trance... It was all good and the crowd loved it. Fantasic mixing the whole time on his part. Wow.
To sum it up: Great crowd, everyone behaved themselves from what I saw and I met a lot of fantasic people as well as many good friends. Great music, no, really great music and a amazing sound system to go with it! Great lazers and lighting (except for the cartoon characters dancing that was on at the begining, that made me feel like I was in kindergarden.... kindergarden kids should not be at raves, therefore this doesn't work). This is probably new favourite venue. Thank you Viva and everyone who was there for a very memorable night.

nusty.

AND.....

J00F track from last night
This track was played towards the end of J00f's set (4:35am ish) (4th or 5th last track, I'm guessing). It was a really melodic trance track (as opposed to the psy stuff he was also playing) with about 4 buildups /breakdowns. I think the track played right after it was done by astral projection. The track was off of a CD since there was no record on either deck at the time.
It probably one of the last one or two melodic /epic trance tracks of the night that he played.
The synth line was incredible and kept being rebuilt.

There were no vocals. The next track to have a vocal was the second one after this with a robotic vocal in the begining right before the bass dropped. (I'm hoping people can work backwards and remember the one I'm trying to get at.
I wish I could give more info.

This sounded about a year ahead of most current similar trance.

thanks for any and all help.
