Hi guys, Lately I've been hanging around in Australian Technical forums (which explains lack of postings in TA forums :happy2: by me)
In those forums some of the guys posted this links or ISP's who provide broadband ADSL services at a flatrate $80 unlimited Download/Upload basis.

Finally suckass Telstra and Optus broadband services been challenged and it looks promising......Check it out and if you have known any companies that provide U/L broadband internet post them here

This sounds the best -UNLIMITED/UNSHAPED-

Goodbye Telstra and Optus's stupid capped, limited, overpriced services.
PointyDC
What you are forgetting is that Telstra n Optus were once uncapped as well ;)
S_madis
Do you think that this will make Telstra and Optus go back to the good old days of being uncapped ?
AussieTrance
Nope, and not for some time, which is unfortunate (im still loving netstats)

Optus still kicks arse in terms of raw speeds, and there is hope that they will raise the 3G to 5G permanently after netstats is finished.

If you want downloads, but not really fast speeds, try Internode, I-Green, Netspace, or go to www.whirlpool.net.au (not the washing machine company) and have a look around there

edit Oz-forces looks great, shame about the prices.

the problem is eventually enough people sign up for the service and your out of luck when the most you can download at is 10k.

What I really think of is this eventually those small companies will push the limit for Optus and Telstra to get rid of that ridicolous downloading caps (which is introduced due to poor insfructure they have) If you happy with your 3 or 5 Gig "fast downlads" optus or telstra I'd say stay with them! But if you're someone like me downlading 1.5 Gb every 3 days with 56K dial-up connection at $22 a month that can never satisfy me with their crap reshaped 26K after 3 gig reached....

Maybe some of us know Telstra ed up with their internet business plans and lost like 3 billion last couple off years because of that. That tells me how stupid and ignorant they are not to recognise capabilities and needs of average Australians.

They have a high-speed Under Ocean data cable lying there 90% idle and they can't find customers to sell/hire it cuz they bloody stupidly insisted on ridicolousyly high prices for bandwidth and traffic while the rest of the western countries population enjoyed faster and cheaper internet....fcuk 'em

I'm getting Telstra 1 gig Cable connection next month, not ADSL . . CABLE. ADSL! :whip:

yo but its better than 56k :p

But we using telstra cause we have all bills with them we get mohlar discounts etc, so it works out ok.

I'd rather download at 30k/s for an entire month than at 250k/s for 4 hours and then 2.5k/s for the next 29.5 days :)

Thats perfectly explains the situation with telstra and optus. Trancey Ash sorry mate but I can beat your download total by 4X maybe even more with that lousy 56K I have heheheh. ....And the Turtle WINSSS
Rememberence_
1 gig of downloads per month with telstra? and is your bandwidth still gonna be capped to 128/512 kbit/s ? Die telstra! You could do at least 3 times that amount of data a month on 56k.

One of the upsides of having moved to the states is unlimited cable.. I've done 400 gig since July 2002
