as far as raving...hmmm i dont really know if you could learn...i think theres some videos. just practice...when i first started i wanted to learn how to rave as well :)
as far as hot spots in nyc...arc is closest thing to twilo. and plus some nyc ta's are throwing parties @ lounges. u might wanna check that out. theres filter 14...they book progressive djs during the week. centrofly...is mostly a progressive club runned by Low End Specialist (LES Dj Mac and Ali). roxy host's some parties as well...but thats like 1's a month. theres couple of places for techno djs that make regular appearences in nyc...might want to check those out!
