here basically the arguments used more:
1. non danceable
yes, as stated before, this is probably #1 argument they use. the long breakdowns get people moving out of the dancefloor, but the biggest problem is that.. the music is too fast :eyespop: they are used to 125 bpm house, upgrading to 140 bpm is not easy for some ppl
2. no-one knows the tunes
they have to hear it 20 times on mtv, then seeing someone "cool" listening to the track, so they can enjoy it on the dancefloor. no capabillity at all to apreciate an unknown track at first listen, especially if it is in a different genre of what they usually listen to. |

I agree, but as a DJ, I think it's my responsibility to bring new music to people. Like one time I played "Teenage Wasteland" by Teri Bristol, then the next time a kid came up to me and said "Hey, can you play that song with The Who?" and I was surprised, 'cause I thought he was gonna ask for DJ Sammy or something. So, yeah, you've gotta expose people to new music. I guess. I'm rambling now. |

I think the most common reason I've heard for not liking trance is that it's too repetitive.
I personally like the repetitiveness of it. It's what induces the entire 'trance' feeling. |

There, thats your basic song that people listen to. What I mean is, unless it sounds like that, people hate it. :[ |

I think Rap is the most hated genre of music on here. Next comes Pop music.
There are some that mentioned electronica and classical as the only music forms that envoke emotion. I disagree with this. Maybe in the INSTRUMENTAL-sense, the sounds make you feel a certain way. But what about songs that revolve around vocals? Sarah McLachlan anyone? Maybe most of you have only heard the trance remixes of her songs, you should go out and listen to some of her real songs. |

Lamb. Go and buy their self titled album and also "Fear of Fours". I swear the woman singer has a voice that's just incredible.:D |

R&B and rap music is mostly a 5-8 second loop that's played throughout the entire song NON STOP
