your girl is afraid of the mixer??? wha?? lol that's kinda weird, although i am afraid of using my xfader, b/c it's so sharp.
eh, don't worry about getting your g/fs to mix, if they don't know how to dj, they will be even more impressed by your mixing skills. although, if you make them try to beatmatch for a while, they will understand (maybe) what you're doing and be even more impressed...hehe
me, b/c i'm a dj, i'm not so impressed by the fact a guy is a dj, instead, i get all excited and want to talk to him all night about dj stuff (there's not too many djs from around where i live, especially trance). but now i think that i'm considering dating only dj's, just because they will understand that dj'ing and music is the most important thing in my life, and i could babble to them about equipment and stuff and they would understand! ;)
oh, and i am currently working on a mix, i will let you know when i'm done. i'll add you to my buddy list or something. thanks! :tongue2 |

| yea i definitly would like a girlfriend who can talk to me about dj stuff. she knows alot about things beucase i tell her stuff so i guess she theoretically knows how to do it...its just a matter of getting her on the decks. one of my good friends is teaching his girl how to mix so im trying to teach mine to compete lol... but id rather have a girl to talk to than someone who is just impressed... beucas ethe impression is just imporession out of ignorance : P i guess ill just see about getting her on the decks. |

| Me owns a 275 also.......I must say, its a good mixer to start on.....have tried to teach some of my friends on the mixer. They get the hang of it but they just can't seem to speed or slow the song down.....:whip: |

| yea i see your point in that but i guess im just used to it... i taugh my roomate about how to work out at the gym and now he is bigger stronger and in better shape than i. plus my girlfriend is better at everyhting than i am so it woudlnt be a surprise whenever i teach her. shes one of those naturally-talented-at-everything people lol. i guess i improve all around in everything through osmosis or something... |

now that'd be cool to do arsalan! unless she's into spinning modern hip hop and r&b... that would make for a sickening set or two ;)
I reckon it would depend on the girlfriend on whether I'd like to share music with her or not... not in a selfish or secretive manner, but just that sometimes you don't want to share every single thing in life with a partner. After all, many people have an extremely strong passion for music; it could make a bit of an impact if you had expected your g/f to take an interest and just doesn't eh? Just a few thoughts.
It certainly would be exciting to meet a chick and find that you had this same interest in common, and shared those passions from the start.
