ah, touche (or however you spell it) ;)

Yes, Bush is a bigger threat to the stability of the world community at this moment; but Saddam isn't a saint either.

Personally, I'd like to see them both put on trial. Neither should be running their respective countries.

At this point, the USofA won't back away.
Too much was invested into this impending war. US is too deep. After spending so much money into planning and replanning, its going to be a complete waste if USA back away now. IF, USA does back away right now, Bush's ass is grass. Especially after somebody brings up the expenses for the war efforts. Overall, my point is, like it was mentioned earlier, USA is a CORPORATE WORLD! Most MNC's central offices are located in USA. Canada is being raped by American multinationals. In the end, USA benefits from its all. The point is, USA will do anything to gain profit. The entire "moral" b.s. by Mr.Monkeyface is ..BULL .

Ahw...Iraq...Bend over. Here comes USA!

Canada: ...That bastards...always cheats on me.
j/k

P.S. I love Canada. All you Americans, try to saw an American Flag on your backpack and travel around the world. Canadians are welcomed everywhere. Currently, I don't mind the american people, but the American Govr't is one crazy bitch.

p.p.s. Somebody mentiond Russian confict with Chechnya. Don't mess with Russians! That's all I have to say for now.

p.p.p.s. The sad thing, in the end, this will ALL benefit us. Canadians and Americans alike. Oil prices will go down. Then..only then everybody will "praise" good old BuSh. Ohh!!!! TOMOROW is the DEADLINE!!

p.p.p.p.s. Christopher Lawrance is American! Prove right there! All americans CAN'T be morons.

Like one of my fav quotations go

"What's it going to be then, eh?"

Yep, and if you think it's Bush that runs the country, you're damn wrong... it's all those corporate bastards, people who own all the businesses, oil companies and such, that are pulling all the strings. Bush is just a front for everything that is going on behind the scenes. Makes you wonder why US has such a huge interest in Iraq (that apparently holds like 6% of world's gas/oil supply).

Exactly why US never bothered saying much to them... they know Russians are crazy.

this is where the word "PROPAGANDA" comes in...
each country tells it's people through media what they want them to think... so who's right and who's wrong?
I HATE PROPAGANDA and the fools that fall for it, I was once a victim of propaganda but that was when I was 12, I'm older now. And more mature.

not counting the current Iraq situation, we dont just go into countries and topple governments, its always been a UN or NATO decission to react to situations. If we just went into countries becuase they have something that we want, why wouldnt we just take over Canada, we get more oil from you, then we get from Iraq. Our military is used becuase it is the most advanced in the world (that wasnt an Im american im better statement..its a fact). We would not be able to afford to fight all these skirmishes with out UN support.

There is definatley more behind Bush's decission to go to war than he and the American government is letting us know. It could be for economic or personal reasons or it could be what happened in the Gulf War where we shared all of our intelligence and Saddam moved his weapon stockpiles so they couldnt be hit.

Some one said that we will all gain from this war. That is true, we will all gain from stability through out the world. The US will probaly gain the most in the long run. It will also cost us hundreds of billions of dollars to go to war and then rebuild and put in place a new government. why would we do something unless it is in our best interest. Thats the way the world works, it is run by money and power. it always has and it always will be that way. Im sure france and russia wouldnt care about irag that much if they didnt have billions to lose by the US going to war and removing saddam. To the person who said, why dont the iraqi people vote in a new person..they cant, they are tortured in killed if they disagree with saddam. saddam hussein recieved 100% of votes in his last election. That is proof alone that elections are unfair. Also most of the people are not represented in Iraq. The Kurds in the north, who oppose saddam were gassed and killed.

If you disagree with our government and its policies thats fine, but please stop calling all americans ignorant or stupid. You keep saying how americans are arrogant, but in this thread i see that it is Canadians that keep saying why You are so much better than us..that is arrogance. We, the average american citizen, for the most part are just like you and do not want to go to war. Finaly, like I said before if you feel that we are just a money hungry country that only cares for ourselves, then please by all means boycott American products. You are just supporting our terrible American way of life by purchasing our goods.

If the American army is so much more advanced then anyone elses, why don't they disarm? They want Saddam to get rid of all his weapons (eventhough, the States has better ones) and keep all their own weapons. That does not seem fair at all.

Well i didn't mean to necessarily compare bush to hitler's actions, cause it's not like he's trying to exterminate anyone or anything obviously. But don't tell me their economic sanctions on iraq and north korea and other countries in the past ten years hasn't caused thousands and thousands of people to die of hunger. His rhetoric is so annoying too. The US maybe not be trying to wipe out a single peoples like hitler, but they ARE trying to change the entire world to the american way of life. They're wiping out cultures all over the world, everything's so americanized, and if you don't jump on the bandwagon, you're ed. It's not just bush too, it's the government, past and present. If you think about it seriously, wasn't hitler's goal pretty much to turn germany into the world? He just had to do it differently because the world was different back then. If we were to rewind time 100 years, the US would probably just run over the world...well i think so

President Bush's presidential campaign cost over 2 billion dollars. That money wasnt from the tax payers and wasn't from his own pocket. Wanna guess where it came from? Money isnt free, as with everything else in this world it comes at a cost.

Unfortunately my friend you have, and as with most Americans you don't know it. I will give you one example among many. Have you ever heard of General Pinochet? Pinochet was a right wing military dictator in Chile. He was in power for years and had the country in a brutally tight grip. Thousands of people were assassinated.
In any case Pinochet overthrew a left wing democratic government lead by president Salvadore Allende in 1973. Obviously in 1973, at the height of the cold war, the United States was uneasy with any socialist government. They found Pinochet, trained him in America through the CIA, and sent him back to Chile to overthrow the government. Pinochet stayed in power until 1990. A ferocious dictator for 17 years while your government conveniently sat by and watched as thousands of chileans were slaughtered. The sad part is that this happened in many Latin American countries that had democraticaly elected governments. It happened, it happened alot, and in some cases it happened recently.

I know you probably dont believe it, but its true. If you don't like foreigners calling you ignorant take some innitiative, do some reading and lay off the CNN. If you are looking for some bedtime reading look for an author named Noam Chomsky a very popular and highly respected critic of the American foreign policy.
