Who here partakes in this activity? How long have you been doing so? What do you all think of it?

| Never was fan of it, don't care if people do it. Just please don't come up to anyone and start putting on a show, most people will just ask you. I find it so annoying when someone comes up and puts them in your face. |

Well anyway, I've been a fan since I've seen it for the first time. I always try new tricks, even the hard ones with the glow sticks on ropes. I'm good at it, but I don't usually do it at parties because the 2 glowsticks cost 50% of the ticket to get into the place.
Glowsticking is really hard, even those 'azn ninjas' that fiddle with them really quickly don't do anything spactacular, you gotta know how to get those waves of light moving with beautiful patterns. Its really a rare skill... |

I used to glowstick about a year ago, got pretty good at it but stopped cuz I got a little bored with it. I mainly did tosses and stales which were too hard to do in a party cuz they might go flying into a sea of dancing people :nervous: |

Technically, that's correct word-for-word...
But it sort of loses something in the translation. :stongue:
Personally, I wouldn't mind learning what the hell I'm supposed to do with a pair of glowsticks. Normally they just look dorky to me, but I find myself staring when someone is reaaaaally good at it. |

i admit i use glowsticks. i've only used them at trance parties however, personally i think using them while the DJ is dropping jungle, progressive, or house is kinda messed up. it's the type of thing that only works with trance ..
i first got into it in the late 90's at raves. eventually i got into them too and started learning the motions. i've experimented with poi and photons before but i don't do it as often as sticks.
from what i know 'glowsticking' itself has pretty much died out since its glory days in the last decade. usually as ShAwZy said most people just find it annoying when you go right up in their face and do it. normally i don't like giving people liteshows, especially when they're high and just wanna see something trippy. if i really feel like giving a liteshow i prefer to do it by the side of the club since people giving shows in the middle of the floor usually takes up dancing space..

and Dr. Z i dunno where u buy UR sticks from but they never cost me more than $1.50 a pop .. |
