Glowsticking (pg. 3)

back in my short raver years, it was quite uncommon to see with with less than 4 sticks at a time. but putting on a show at the Connected rave with oakenfold back in 2000 got me invited backstage. so who cares!
past couple years couldnt be bothered to buy a pair, but it's always fun to use someone's sticks and show em up. |

yeeps all part of the rave days .. i've seen people with massage machines too .. portable ones .. this is all old skool stuff. i guess the newer clubbers are a little more disassociated with it since i've only seen ravers do this .. but it's not to say that they're the only ones .. etc. |

In montreal, all that stuff still seems to thrive. Some ppl that partied w/ us from montreal brought massagers and were very much into all the physical maeuvers...yet they still looked more 'clubberish.' In a lot of ways I really appreciate the way mtl ppl party b/c it's so about the physicality...and I'm extremely hedonistic in nature. It's def. cool to switch it up and bit and party there- altho leaving the club at 11am and wreaking of tiger balm isn't everyone's cup of tea. |

i dont buy glowsticks but i tend to snatch em from the TAs who DO have em and play around a bit...i cant glowstick for ...
ask any of the TAs ive snatched from...
wat annoys me tho are those who cnat glowstick for and buy them and act like they rule in glosticking |

ahh the good ole days
Glowsticking was fun. In like outdoor raves/festivals was where they were meant to be used i think. more space and better atmosphere. In a club it's so tight and packed. Glowstringing is awseme too....looks so trippy heh but then you smack yourself in the head and call it quits :stongue: |

yep, like that dude with the whistle @ UltraSpin. couldn't glowstick to save his life, wouldnt let me use his sticks either |

Hey man, You gota do what you gota do.
The whole concept is to creat a personal light show for your friends and your self. I do it because I like it, when your rushing on XTC and giving a light show to two people, those two people soon become four or six before you know it your the center of attention. Even till this very day I still have people come up to me who I don't know and tell me with amasment that they so me doing a light show from way back at some rave. I remmember at Gouverment in Acid Lounge I started giving light shows at one end of the room by the time I was done I was at the other end from all the people who wanted one.

liquid is messed when your jumping up and down like a madman.
photons and glow sticks are good for me
i never buy them though, they just "slip" into my hands most of the time.
as for light shows. people don't know how to give light shows. thats about it. |
