I don't know the true reasons for this war(and for that matter, neither do you, nor anyone on this board), but I think that if Saddam indeed has a nuclear program, he SHOULD and MUST be eliminated. You can't let a maniac have nuclear weapons! |
france has had oil contracts with iraq since the '80s, why do you thing they're staying put?
and nukes? pfft, they shouldn't be worried about saddam, he's not stupid enough to throw a nuke anywhere, they should be worried about small terrorist groups getting a hold of one...

i probably am, but thats beside the point... everyone has chemical/biological weapons dude, everyone... |

Saddam may not be stupid enough to throw a nuke anywhere, but may just be crazy enough to do that. And besides, if he does build a nuke, a chance of some terrorist organization to obtain one will be increased by 10,000% !
So every country has biological/chemical weapons.. Iraq has too. As far as I know, Iraq has even tested those on their own citizens. Nuke is just "sliiightly" different.. |

ok, so the problem isn't with iraq, its with terrorists... they can also buy nukes from ex-soviet republics, pakistan, india, n. korea... so now what, should US decimate every country in the world that has nukes, just because there is a slim chance that they might sell them to terrorists? again, they should be going against terrorists...

eh...dont talk about my momma like that...
and what i have with my parents is what everyone has with theirs.... so that is out of the question to compare....
why do u not see any problems in SAudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Jordan etc.???
advantages of dictatorship over democracy - no worthless strikes, more efficient economy, less worthless privatisation that ruins the economy, less cuthroats.
everyone...dictatorship is not a bad word...those of u who think dictatorship is the worst have not lived in a dictatorship to compare...I HAVE..17 pretty years of my life.....
yes in dictatorship there are many legislations passed that arent acceptable by the people....what makes anyone think that it isnt the case in a democracy???
final thought before i stop posting in this usual flame style thread:
If Hussein was such an evil person, wouldnt the whole country realise that and organize a coup????just because the American president says hes evil, alot of u jsut willingly believe him.....pathethic.. |
yeah well said DJ El Kay Dee, i know i dont like the dictatorship that is taking place in most middle east countries but like LKD said it wouldn't be around if so many ppl againts it, afterall they are still protecting their own country. |

Ilyia, great points made. I agree completely.
Peter, that is the best point I've heard period concerning the war. Apparently the US has 250, 000 god damn troops over there. Could you imagine what that's costing them!?! Just to tell you how big this issue really is. Get a grasp of that. That is so many people.
E-Master, I'm letting the topic die. |

So let’s recapitulate, the scheme of the USA to invade the country, massacres a myriad of civilian lives, takes possessions of the country’s natural resources, implements a US friendly government is validated because of Saddam Hussein’s possession of mass destruction weapons that might pose a threat to the security of the USA?
Is anyone gullible enough to buy the incongruous theory that perhaps the US are doing this to punish Saddam for his iniquitous dictatorship? The Americans are way too self-absorbed to give two cents about a Kurdish massacre that happened a dozen of years ago or some of the Iraqi’s who suffered under Saddam’s regime. There was no movement for this American aggressions before September 11th thus it is a given that the imperialistic transgression against Iraq is for the protection of the USA and its interest. Since Yank’s propaganda is trying in vain to link Iraq to terrorism now why don’t we scrutinize the bloodiest terrorism deed perpetrated on American soil, as all of us aware that there were no weapons of mass destructions used to make the innocent Americans pay for their government’s ghastly foreign policies. As we all know the only weapons used in the attack were a handful of plastic airplane cutlery so the Americans might as well go an inspect the rest of the planet for plastic forks and knives...
One thing that is 110% sure is that after America’s unilateral crime in Iraq, with the reign of terror they’ll set off the American people will pay a might heavy price for Bush & Co’s idiocy! |

I'm a bit confused. So the bombs/weapons the UN weapons inspectors found in Iraq to be made destroyed...were what? Water pistols?
OH I get it, they weren't TOO dangerous, only quasi dangerous. Honestly, let's get that fukker out of there. Then worry about the oil bull. Take it a step at a time. |

Oh man....I vote liberal and am pretty left wing on most things political (welfare, healthcare, education, unions, etc) but some of you guys are ing extreme socialists!
As for the bomb being dropped on Japan Infinity....war is war and may I remind you that Japan started the with the US at Pearl Harbour. And...what about their systematic murder of millions of people in Korea and Manchuria and the rest of Asia? The Korean women were used as sex toys for the Japanese soldiers! Don't forget the Batan death march either.....experiments on Allied POW's....kamakaze suicide missions. The Yanks lost 45,000 men taking Okinawa, a sixty mile island for sake...if they had tried to take Japan, over a million allied casualties were expected. The ing Japs were going to fight to the end and even after the first bomb was dropped....they STILL DID NOT SURRENDER! I would have dropped 10 on those inhuman bastards. Don't even try to moralise about the Japs in WW2.....they threw any code of military ethics out the window long before the Yanks dropped the bomb.
Anyway, this .....I'm sick of bickering. |
