I've got a lovely set rip sitting here, admittedly sounds a lot like guide me god, but it was a winner, vocals sounded class, and synth from arctic was really well placed.
The release on the other hand, is awful :(
the PvD club mix lacks energy, and at one point actually sounds like the tetris theme
the Vandit mix is just shameful
what happened?
dont' suppose Azareal wants to make a recon?? :stongue:
:(

Are you talking about the same verison PVD played at Cream@Amnesia last summer? If so, is that not the same version as the PVD Club Mix that was released?

For those who are not yet aware of it yet, there is a domestic single coming out in the U.S. of Paul van Dyk - Nothing but You and it was coined the "U.S. Mixes" and will be on the Mute label. Mixes offered on this single will include Album Version, Radio Edit, and Vandit Club Mix.

I have a strong feeling that the Album Version may be the version that he's been playing in his sets. Sorry, I don't know any websites selling this or anything. Coming to my local record store. Word.

The Mute release will only contain the mixes that have already been released.

hrm, i've been listening to this CDR promo I have here. There's a "PvD Radio Mix" in it, which sounds exactly like the version that PvD has played ever since amnesia last year, though it's a short version. There's also the Tetris version we all know, the Vandit mix, the radio version of the Vandit mix, the cirrus mix, and the Tomekk mix which is kinda nice, although the names on it are a bit mixed up.

Anyway, the good part is that this "Pvd Radio Mix" is the one we all are looking for, it's just shorter, maybe someone could make a sort of "remake" and reconstruct it back to what the real one was, heh. Cheers.

PS: AHHHHHH, BACK TO SCHOOOL, AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!#"!#"!.

Does any one know when this is going to be realised on Mute? Thanks in advance :D

It's already floating round.

Check out www.juno.co.uk if you're desperate for a copy although it's no different from the Vandit release.

Oh thanks man - I was confused though - I thought that someone said that the Mute Vinyl had the "Radio Mix" on it, but it's only on the CD-R O_o

Paul just played the very original mix at mayday. I thought he had totally scrapped it. This is great news, coz paul really does only play his favs at mayday, and i believe theres a real good chance we may see the original mix labelled as the "Album Mix" on his album reflections. Top news!

and no whiskers that record isnt rare. not in the slightest.

That is good news indeed! My guess is that he wanted to play out the original version before releasing it. I don't think it's a bad thing; if I went to see PvD, I would go to see him so I could hear his music, some of which no one else has. If every local DJ was hammering out every single one of his tunes, then it wouldn't mean that much to see him perform live.

Anyways, I'm DYING to hear his mayday 2003 set. Is there a recording of it floating around?

You can kill me if I'm wrong, but I was watching the broadcast and I swear he dropped NBY (Original Mix) from VINYL. Do you know what it means? It might have been one of the unreleased yet album vinyls. So I see big chances thet this mix will be included on a new album !!!
