By no means do I think Islam "sucks"! I just don't agree with it.
No disrespect intended towards anyone’s religion or beliefs, I would just like to know why so much contradiction exists within the Koran, considering it’s the supposed word of g-d. I am questioning Islam, not slamming it.
So far in my endeavour to discover Islam through the TA's here, I have only been confronted with insults and flames... no real answers to legitimate questions!
Could it mean that even those who believe in the Koran don’t have these answers themselves and don't even care to question it themselves? |

It's quite unfortunate that you think this is all just a game on my part. The copy and paste was done so I don’t in anyway change what the author’s opinion/intention was. It's also unfortunate that you didn't bother reading what this man had to say about the religion you hold so dear to yourself. Don’t you think he has a valid point? He cites many passages from the Koran and talks about it.
If you did the same to me with Judaism, I wouldn't call you anti-Semitic, unless there were obvious anti-Semitic remarks/comments made.
If you feel that I’m being racist towards Muslims, I'd like you to please show me where in my posts you have found a comment I made to warrant the label of "racist".
I also invite you to question Judaism. I promise I will answer all your questions to the best of my knowledge. If I can't, I will find someone who can! |

oi Mike, it seems to me in this attempt to question Islam, you only bring to light one article, which you quote in its entirety. You yourself don't seem to present an argument, state a thesis and back it with valid points. So is the article then your stance on the issue? You said you didn't agree with some points, but you yet don't care to further substantiate. Therefore no one really knows what you're trying to prove. With what you do present, I would say that to expect an answer to these questions in this forum, legitimate they may be, is to be boldly optimistic, since you yourself don't present the views ascertained by your own questioning.
Edit: Given the methods you present your argument with, the only form of reply you could expect to receive in return would be that in the form of another qutoed article, which would only continue to bring this debate nowhere. |

Every religion's holy book has been interpreted in a way, it's all been written in a way and through the years man kind did nothing but interprete more and more until now that's how every religion is getting its theses and principles. Some interprete it wisely, some don't, have some respect to Holy books as they have been written by wise men but misinterpreted by ignorants and fools who translate it to their own means.
I am not religious at all, i do not hate Jews, in fact i have many jewish friends. It is all matter of facts and principles that makes you hate this individual or that, or groups (i.e. Zionists, Nazis, Communists, facists, and so on...) |
