Well seeing as how I've already been to two, I can safely say that this hasn't influenced my decisions so far.
If it becomes an epidemic or something... then I might reconsider. In any event, I have a feeling that within the next few weeks, the virus will either spread so fast that there will be warnings everywhere, or it will just fade into obscurity. (What I'm saying is I think it will be either one extreme or the other, we aren't going to stay within this random paranoia period for long).
Let's be honest. Clubs aren't the only places where a virus can spread. Schools, offices, sports events, crowded restaurants... what makes people think that these are any safer than clubs? And yet we don't see surgical masks there. I have a feeling that clubs might actually be safer, since the air is so saturated with tobacco and spliff smoke. :haha:
I'd like to see some statistics before I make any rash decisions. |

I voted for undecided.
I think the threat of SARS is very real. Ever see the movie Outbreak? This can cause some serious damage. I really wouldn't be surpirsed if PVD's advisors advise him to not come to Toronto. Especially to Viva. So, if he doesn't go then I don't go.
Plus, some of us might be already exposed to SARS I think this disease might actually become a huge problem. |

My Vote: Stay away from clubs and large social gatherings until this SARS is under control or they have a cure for it. Its too risky in my opinion. I will keep watching the news for developments on this disease that has plagued the GTA.

the cure for sars might be kinda iffy, since sars has basically been tracked to containing part fo the virus of a regular cold. but on drugs. and lots of it. (no pun intended :p) i voted undecided, just becuase i don't wanna get hella sick AGAIN. if anyone saw me at picotto, yeah. :whip:
actually, to tell you the truth, when i came down with my sickness march 10th, my symptoms were exactly the same as sars... pretty freaky. and maybe the reason it didn't spread in kw is because i didn't go anywhere for that whole week, exact from my couch to the bathroom and back again :p
makes ya think tho... :nervous: |

No it's not airborne. It's through saliva and particles if one sneezes and you get the snot/stuff on you and then you touch your face/eyes etc. There's a difference.. |
