AFTER HEARING THE NEWS THIS MORNING THAT THE GST COULD GO UP ANOTHER 3 CENTS, I ALMOST LOST MY MIND. AS IT IS THIS COUNTRY IS RAPING ME EVRYDAY, NOW THEY WANT MORE. ITS TIME THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY STOOD UP, AND DIDNT TAKE THIS COMMUNISM ANYMORE. IF YOUR GOING TO DEFEND CANADA BY COMING BACK WITH THE MEDICARE AND SUBSIDIZED SCHOLLING ARGUMENT DONT WASTE MY TIME, I HAVE A MILLION POINTS TO DEBUNK IT. PLEASE U.S.A COME AND TAKE OVER.

well.. i agree that the GST going up would suck.
but PLEASE, PLEASE don't say you want the US to take over..
that would be a million times worse, trust me.
i'd gladly play 50cents on the dollar in tax for canada to remain seperate from the US |

for a moment, i thought you were serious. i heard that the GST would go up, and that does suck.. but.. really.. we do have a defecit. i'd pay an extra few cents on a bottle of coke if it helped get the country's debt down, or maybe it was put into the education system, or helped Alberta's struggling farmers. i'd be more worried about the soon-to-be outrageous gas and cigarette prices that will be ariving in canada.

do you have any sense of national pride? jesus christ man. i consider the US of A to be the most influential evil in the entire world. i would move out of this continent the second i heard that something that horrid was official. who cares if their dollar is stronger? i for one don't shop in the US and therefore my dollar is worth a dollar. do you need George W. peering into your life, controlling most every aspect of your life and recording it in their secret documents. i want no part of their ed up regime and hope they rot in hell. :thepirate |

well b.s.e is speaking strongly above, and i hope he doesnt think im one of the most evil people he knows, since im from the US, but you gotta think logically about the whole situation.
Canada is SOCIALIST, or at least a social democracy of sorts. thats a LOT different from communism and having to pay a higher tax rate in turn gets you goods and services provided by the government that we pay out the ASS for over here. so what if the dollar is stronger, we pay more for ...late| |

yes, I know, it adds up...but still, relax a little man, it's not the end of the world. Plus, maybe this'll keep some of the doctors and such on this side of the border, cuz most of them are fleeing down south for more cash.

Don't be jealous, America Jr. You may not shop in the U.S. but everything you buy is probably American. Thanks for the money! And the weed! At least you all are good for something. |

yyyeah, no problem. i actually try and stick to my guns when it revolves around the u.s.a.. i tend to boycott most american chains (clothing, food etc.) there is obviously no way around completely avoiding outside american influence, only because they've wormed their way in through our borders and push all that 'great' in my face.
and biz - ahh, you're just one of those.. lesser evils. ;)
and as far as weed goes - i don't mind sharing pot with potheads. :disbelief |
