Could somone give me some pointers or give me a link with info on remixing? I know this is a pretty broad question, but any help is appreceated. are there any particular rules i should follow? I just dont understand how you take a song and mold and shape it into a totally different song using the same or different elements and still retain the feel of the original.

Besides...what you're talking about isn't mixing... you're obviously meaning the implementation of "Acapella" material such as vocals into a new composition by using the various tools such as Project5, FrootyLoops, etc that are listed above.
Mixing is more like EQing and sound finalizing.

I suggest...
#1 Get a more specific question
#2 Focus on one thing at a time here
#3 Learn by searching the threads here before asking these general "noob" questions that may otherwise take 4 pages to answer!

My remixes are more like remakes.. I don't care as long as i can make my music.. Too much terms in the books, I don't even have a detailed definition of mixing, let alone remixing
