I think I know what you're talking about. It's the way it was equalized. Probably cut too much in the 250-500 Hz range. Mixing and mastering is the hardest part of the production for me, but I'm getting there.

Juicy bassline. Kinda funky soundin.
EQ sounds okay to me (although I'm listening on crappy speakers).
I think a pad would be nice, there is not a lot of fill in the track which is what make it seem a little empty.
Lead sound is cool, very bright and sharp. The track deosn't seem to have a fast motion to it, if that makes sense. I think its the notation of the bassline. Still a groovey little track. As I speak, in comes a pad.... and out it goes. Would be nice to have kept it in.
Build up out of second breakdown is real nice. I like that one, its nice and smooth, yet still energetic.
A nice easy listen. Not something I would dance to because I think it lacks some energy, but enjoyable to listen to.
