[Uplifting]Haak - Frenzy (JayL remix)

I tried to do something different with this remix, retaining the parts from the original that I liked while adding many of my own touches to it.

It's 13.3 Mb at 192kbs but the download should be fast at around at least 100k/s if you are on high-speed.

Enjoy! And please leave some feedback and constructive criticism

this starts out great with those pads.

k the bass and beat taking over, getting a more dark atmosphere with the synth that is coming up.

the 2 leads working great , the orignal and the 1 you made, just the synths are to weak imo.

the break is great!

the climax well dissapoint me, it's because of the lead synth..

now don't get me wrong a very nice remix of Frenzy hear, but the lead self, needs a powerfull sound imo.

second break is nice also.

i think you made the lead like that because you focused more on the strings, and they do sound nice.

sounds overall very nice, just few things out of my taste the lead synth.

gotta agree on most things he said, just had to add that the beats are too weak. U gotta have more power in the drums.
I think the beginning was really really good with that dark atmosphere but well...

Thanks Massive and Marco... love the inputs...

I was experimenting with the kick a bit, but I cut too much low end out of it and it ended sounding weaker.. i'll try to maybe do a quick change out of it before I leave home for a month.

Also, I also think the bass is a bit too loud as someone else pointed out (not here) and I will try to change that up a bit.

Thanks!

plus
nice pads in the beginning
nice change of melodies
dark atmosphere

minus
what is that flying synth?
week lead synth
very week synth, (could it be Vanguard involved)
where is the beat?
things a little messy

conclusion
add more beat, clean things up, heavy the lead synth.. keep on working

The kick just isn't there man.
Everything really needs to be brought more into balance, and the overall volume needs to come up. Its hard to comment much past that.

Thanks Moth and Subtle!

I tried to improve on what you guys mentioned and yeah, I did use vanguard for my lead which I guess wasn't the best choice but my CPU was overloaded from all the fx I ran for the pads and strings and I guess i was looking for a quick lead

I've tried to balance it more overall by giving the kick more presence in the bass and less "bass" for the bass itself. Also tried to clean off the high end more so hopefully it isn't as messy.

Thanks for all the feedback again!

excellent remix of Frenzy. gotta agree, that kick is just a bit too weak. and at certain points it seems offbeat almost. i personally, loved the synths and strings. those strings really give emotion to the song. the break is excellent and when u get back from it, its insane! i really liked that. "it throws u into a frenzy".. hahaha.. good job, like everyone said, streigthen the lead and the kick..

cool remix
nice strings, the beat sounds cool at the start, but the kick really lacks punch when it's all playing. not sure i like the lead synth that much, but the atmosphere is nice, you've changed the mood quite a bit from the original. i like the filtering synths

Niiice pads!
Percussion sound very smooth, i like it.
Bass sounds a bit weak, could be louder from the start. Ok another bass layer, that's better.
You got a lot going on. Nice work with the filter around 2:40.
Lead synth could be better IMO. Yeh it's Frenzy alright
The bassline and kick sound a bit weak over here. Maybe that's because of the pads, they're quite present. Maybe add a tad volume to those percs as well..?
Full sound you got going here, quite like that.
Great atmospheric sounds in this, good job on that!
