Moonman - Don`t Be Afraid (Project Seven 2004 Remix) <192> [FULL] -5:32-

I went sick and tired of newer produce anything I felt satisfied with, so I decide to put together all my production skillz, and thoroughly create each element as I wanted it,a remix of the old classic made by Ferry Corsten, "Moonman - Don`t Be Afraid".. and it ended up being my best production to date.. the outcome is for you to judge..

any feedback is appreciated..

just a nic idea ...hmmm first of all nice tune to get an remix ......
listen it now ....
very nice melodic u choosed
sounds very nice very profesional ...
but i think when i hear this one it looks like a bit to short .... intro would be a bit shorter and the melodic part could be a bit longer ... then it would be perfect.... but nice work .....

Never heard the original tune but here goes my review of your remix:

Ok nice start, cool percussive intro. Though I personally prefer tune which begin with no drums, just some pads to set the right mood, and only then the beat kicks in.

Didn’t really like the bass to tell you the truth, not only that it’s a simple off beat "umpa bass" which im no fan of, the sound qulity of it isn’t to good either. Try making it fatter, it sounds pretty flat as it is now.

1:08 – All of a sudden the pads just come in, try building it so it wont sound that unexpected. Make a small breakdown and then use some effects and snare rolls to create a buildup effect or something like that.

The pads at the break sound pretty good. I really liked the build up of this, the melody is pretty good as well.

2:30 – Its nice how everything kicks in right there.

Overall, nice job... try working a bit harder on your transitions. And the mastering isnt that good either, try working on ther aswell on your next production.

Sorry for being a bit harsh mate, your tune isnt bad at all.

hehe.. this one takes me back

now for the review...

some interesting percs there.. nice to see someone else likes bongo-like sounds... bass has left something to be desired. its a very flat sound. pads are too loud too soon. get them filtered kidda

some nice effects in there.. sounds like a thunder clap.. am i right?

main synth sounds a little bit flat.. but it's a nice attempt.. a small bit of re-arranging and things should slot together nicely

Steve

Jaggalo: Yeah it is a bit short, I wanted it to be short I actually never make short tracks, but I tried to keep the vibe from the old track..

DJ Kreing: the harsher the better .. others have told me the bass isnt good too, I actually cant hear what is wrong with it (could be the soundsystem.. yeah I might try to bring in those strings smoother, youre right bout that, the track isnt actually mastered (I never master my tracks really, (just mix them ass good as I can) (maybe mastering will do good though, I might try that)

DJ Dawson UK: I love bongo drums, no thunder clap no .. could be the synth is a bit flat yes, I try working a little on that

thx for the review gys really appreciated it

work more with basslines and percussions! too primitive right now, but strings sounds good.
Both bassline and percussion need DELAY effect , rolls better with DELAY!
Plus bassline notes need more notes. Try octave bass variations.

Right now sounds too PARMESAN

Keep it up!

Sebraa

Percs and kick start off pretty good. Bassline is ok, i like your idea, tho this one is just a bit too flat. Has a clubby feel, which i like. Ow the snareroll could use some low cut IMO, and a little flanger e.g.. The synthstring is a bit too present, not very subtle I mean, it's a bit too harsh and raw i think.

Everything together sounds good, but it still lacks some backgrounds, FX, counter-melodies. Try to back it up a bit and ther you go.

All the luck,
-Jay

nice kick and perc.

bassline is really cheesy , make it rolling thunderous or something.

pads are nice, but sound a tad to loud.

the break adds nothing new, same pad as in the intro, either make the intro more exciting and use the pads in the break and climax, or make an addition to the break

i hear a few nice fx sounds not to many though.

Its a bummer, perc is nice kick is nice, the bass just not doing it and it gets repetative.

thats all
