Yarune - Y.A.T.

Hey guys,

Here's my newest. I don't have too much time to produce, so I made this in not too many hours, just wanted to make a simple track, since I'm addicted to producing .

A simple happy melody, pretty listenable, but nothing really special.

Just wanted to share it with y'all.

Yarune - Y.A.T.

Ok let's have a listen...yarune = always nice..

Your percussion is indeed pretty nice, very clear samples. Your kick is decent but standard. Track could use a deeper bass, there is almost no bass now. THe bassline sound itself is not very clear aswell, the eq of the synths is not very good. That choir that i hear now is nice but is not very clear. I can hear that you didn't spend much time on this one...i like your other work. Your sounds arent really nice, they sound a bit shallow. Percussion loops get repetetive now aswell...im skipping further now.
Break now, nice & peacefull. I like the choir now. Sounds very empty..needs more going imo. Main melody is doing nothing to me, main synth is very thin aswell...no sorry, take your time for your next work plz, i dont like this one. Climax is nothing, and the whole eq is not very good. Only nice thing is the choir and the percussion.

Seems a bit hard now btw...but heej, but you know i like your other stuff a lot ...

I like this. I think the simpler approach is better than overcrowding everything and making the mix a bitch. Very happy song too. Stino is right, the bass could use some more bottom end. The percs are nice. Breakdown is nice. The drumroll back in maybe beeds a little more intensity, such as crash or white noise sweep or something creatve. Good job on this one.

- nice kick
- the bass does need more bottom end maybe, but it works nice with this beat
- melody sounds nice and kind of old school
- strings need to be a bit fuller, especially in the break

nice track

smooth percussion. its very progressive and floats well. only thing i would have you to do better is the mainsynth in the melody, it sounds too much echoish.. needs to be fuller (as mentioned before) it didnt fit in with the rest of the track.

nice going melody, absolutely a track im going to listen to here and there..

give us an update!

Thanks all for the words, I appreciate them all

@DJ-AXI: I just downloaded a few samples in the years I've been producing and I actually just re-ordered my sample database of useful stuff. Deleted a lot of unuseful and ugly stuff. (percs, claps, some fx, kicks. it ain't that big now: 50 mb). I'm actually looking for more kicks and percussion samples...

@ Stino: I totally understand your points, next production I post will get more attention, ok?

@ Tiérra: update.. hm.. maybe in the weekend

Very cool percs! nice pads. Builds up a nice atmosphere.

Maybe turn the bass up? or add another bass layer at some point?

Cool breakdown, love the fx used. Not too keen on the synth used
Maybe just me though

Very nice overall. Progresses very well.

Good Stuff mate

jay m you should of finished this before you put it up, that kick is distorting all over the place that snare/clap is muddying the mix abit also. this ruined it for me.

i really liked the song though just all the technical issues lets it down which is no biggy cause i know your well capable of fixing all that.

looking forward to finished version.

Hehe ok guys thanks for your words.

One must be able to just do the things he likes to do, and I was doing this in a short time (this must have been 10 hours), just for fun....

@ dannyc: The kick isn't realy distorting but it has a very ugly compressed tail, I think you meant that.

@ mef: Thanks for the kind words. A simple pro 53 modified preset used, maybe thats why

Yours,
-Jay

i've listened to your track alot lately, and it would be smooth with a fatter bassline, and i think fat as Vimana - We Came style, really growling-bassline..

Come on jay, i am waiting for something like horizon.

ph i actually like the main melody of this, same with the leadsound, i just didn't like the intro.

Ya track does need more bass. Good perc though. You seem to be very good in that area, because i like the perc in your most things.

You know cut this up to a radio edit, and send it out, melody is really something for TV.

thats it
