[Atmospheric Breaks] The Aztecs - Mystic Enclave [Sample]
Hey
For those who don't remember or don't know. Me and Alygos form the The Aztecs.
Our very first production "Philosophy" got released on a compilation called Hemispheres from Promenince Recordings. The Same label will be releasing somewhere in September i believe an album made by Alygos. But we also got asked for an Aztecs album. But most people know am a lazy person and if i have the heart or patience to sit lots of days behind the sequencer to make more tracks will be the big question
Anyway this is the fourth track and i hope you will like it . Especially Peter K hehe.

Hey guys, I think this is much better without the 4/4 kick, it was a good decision to change it.
What I like about this track:
- those flutes are very nice
- i love the dreamy pad in the background
- the wind effects work well
- that mysterious voice suits the track well, i like how it echoes
- the percs are excellent, one thing i've noticed about all Aztecs tracks is that the percs are always outstanding.
- great overall feel, reminds me of a rainforest
Good work guys, make sure you post the full thing soon hehe.
Something I'd like to say not related to this track: I've noticed that whenever an artist is trying to promote a chillout track, it hardly gets any replies. Stop being so narrow minded and listen to some of the chillout posted here. There is a lot of good chillout posted here that deserves more recognition than it gets.
Nice atmosphere in the track, the far-away-reverb is nice and so are the pads. I think the break snare is too repetitive, and the whole perc line lacks variety. Here and there could be put in some more effects to put more liveness in it, or put the existing effects more upfront, it's a bit too dull in the mainpart. Break is very enjoyable. Nice flutes.

Nice work on this guys!
Cheers!

i agree about the kick/snare pattern, sounds a tad repetitive
otherwise this is great stuff, lovely atmosphere indeed

- that bassline is awesome, maybe you should crank it up a bit and add a variation with a higher note or something.
- i think that snare is a bit too prominent in the mix and like people already said, could use some variation
- the whole atmosphere is really nice, as is the flow
- percs in the break sound great
- at times things seem a bit muddy, maybe you need some more clear sounding elements on top, like in the mid-range
It needs a bassline though... well, I'm sure there is one but I can't hear it, so like eulerfx said, crank it up a bit. I think the song just needs some more low-end.

thanks for the feedback guys.
Will review your tunes if you have any .
Thanks for the reviews and comment.
I will finish this tune this weekend, this will include a better mixdown,
I tried making some bass chord changes but the bass sounded so ugly then and am a guy of details and i rather see things as a whole and if something is just not correct i won't really force it.
Will see about the snare variation, however in my view the whole beat wasn't for variation just do increase speed and drive. The focus of tune was more the atmosphere
once agian, thanks
