[Techno] Jason Max - Pack Ya Sh!t -- Full 320kbps

Hey hey,

Well I tried to make some techno cause I was playing with some looped samples from older tracks of mine, and I figured out you can get some nice full percussion loops with layering them so I added a whole track around them and this is the result!

Before I'm adding this to my 'done' dir I'll do some tweaking maybe here and there but I need your opinions first.

I hope you like, have fun with it.

-Jay

Jason Max - Pack Ya Shit
6:40 | 138 bpm | 16 mb | 320 kbps

Made with FL Studio 5, Cool Edit Pro 2, VST's: Polysix, Bass-Station

heya mate!
willl give my comment on this track
ok listening:
- nice pumpin stuff
- nice perc fx sound that starts at 42 sec
- 2 min now, very cool synth man and great flanger effects!
- sounds very pro btw
- maybe you should give it a little melody to vary it a little, think it needs some more variotion tho.
anyway i like what you have done Jay! keep it up your productions get better and better.

cheers
Renco

Quality stuff dude.

-Intro is perfect, loving the deep bass.
-Percussion is hot, love the phasing effect with the hats on the 8th.
-Nice break but I think you should of built more into it with some more chord progression/percussion etc.
-Nice crisp, clear feel to it. Good professional tune.
-Agree with Renco on this one, im at 4.22 now and nothing seems to have happened yet. I like the little melody you have going but where is the support dude? We need a cushty sub-melody, with more complexity. I dont know, it might just be preference, but I reckon a similar melody to the one in BK's 'Revolution' tune would fit this perfectly.

Having said that though, it's a nice tune.

Cheers for reviewing guys!

Well it's meant abstract and monotone, so it's unlikely that I'm gonna add some melody to it. But if I can put myself to another techy synthline I may add that..

Keep 'em coming

You're always tying to be original by making things that no one else makes. That's cool. Anyway, I don't like the rave-kinda melody in this one. Simply not my taste

Hmm i don't know.

it seems to lack some drive for me.

I don't feel it pumping that much either.

What i noticed here is the reverb usage, seems allot. And yes techno suppose to sound bit muddy and raw sometimes but here everything sounds crystal clear..to clear .

the edits and perc are nice. But just not driving enough i think.

Disliked the synth also, it made the track weaker for me.

In a way Techno is for me loots of groove, drive and edits. I just didn't feel the firt 2 things mate.

Heh. It's kind of obvious that you're a trance producer who's trying to make techno; all of your samples sound like trance percussions. It's cool though. Makes it sound a bit more light-hearted than most techno.

Massive pointed out how clear everything is, and I have to agree with him. It sounds almost too crisp. That may be lending to the very trancey feel.

Cool track. I, personally, liked the more tech lead there. It was a nice touch.

i like the deep bass in the track, great percussion + fx, sound quality is very good, although i also miss some grooves and more variaton on the melody side, i think already mentioned,

anyway, good job on the track mate!

Hi Jay, Nice start, sometimes its best to get straight in. Percussion is nice here, kick is punchy bass is a bit watery but is good with its surroundings, very ethnical. good use of flanger effects and filteration...

1:51 the breakdown, i like the synth, more hard trancy, works ok with me. kicks back in a bit blunt but still fine, maybe do something with that or did you go for the simple route?...

3:45, second breakdown. Still sounding fine, the kick stands out great in the middle of the track. as mentioned before alot of reeverb on the lead but i dunno im 50/50 on that, its works and it doesnt in various parts of the track then sometimes it doesent but its hard to put a specific point on this. i live the lead when it filters down, the ringing thing...

And out with the track, normal ending, thats fine. I wouldnt cal this techno, more of an electro trancy feel. yes it is a bit clean and empty but don't change it because this is good stuff. I think i will keep hold of this, i like the feel of simplicity now and again, it really works for me.

Keep up the good work jay, very well mastered and produced.
Terry.

Thanks to y'all for the words! I might bring up the percs a bit more, cause they're to far pushed back I think and that takes away the drive a bit.

Cheers guys!
