Stan Void - Never Dreaming [trance]

Hey all,

I finished this track last November and haven't really gotten any label interest in it. Kind of a shame, since it's been playlisted by Ferry & Solarstone. But in any case, I think it's time to release this little guy to the public - enjoy it, play it out, play it in sets, spread it around Let me know what you think can be improved with it, I'm always open to critique.

listening ... its very empty until 2.00 when it fills out a little and tbh it sounds a little raw , like my tunes but im allowed because when you finished this i had only started producing
but in my opinion i think you should fill out the tune more ,clear up the main lead , but ferry can tart this tune up with his gear and i think you should too , in other words it needs to sound more pro and i think you will get your release

hope that helps

it sounds pro, the sound quality is great, i don't think it miss the "omphf" required to get it released i guess, but the creative part - it miss kind of an own signature...it's too much mainstream-sounding.

I'd guess the same as the above poster, it's kinda standard, nothing too ear-catching.

Overall it's a solid pro sounding song! And your production skills are just amazing...just add a bit of yourself something unique

and btw the melodies in the breakdown are just amazing! ¨

I guess I know why solarstone playlisted it! it sounds like solarstone

yes - i would agree that this is one of my less personalized tracks and doesn't have a signature sound to it. Something to try for in my next work

Hey Stan,

Pretty decent track here. Reminds me of 643 but more underground and uplifting. Not surprised the big labels didn't bite, but I'm guessing you didn't try smaller or digital labels, this would be food for them.

Ah well, time to move on
Good luck with the next.

Hi

Listening to youre tune. Like the buildup, lots of good percussions. Good kick (always hard to do) good phasered synth.

After first break, sounds like some levels are too low, and others too high - maybe play about with that. For me also more perc would be nice, stick some more loops in there (or make yourself, if ur one of THOSE people)

Main break like a lot... very chilled, good sweeping effects in there - like the pad/string.

On the whole I think a very good piece of music, very pro sounding - sounds like you got most youre levels & eq all right (i struggle a lot with this) whether its worth being signed I dont know, I know little about that stuff - all I know is id boogy to this in a club - so gets my seal of apporval.... back to tidying my flat (inbetween sorting out the break down to this bloody tune im making)
