Ok this is not my stuff. So I won't say anything about the melody, arrangement, and buildup, just isn't my style.

Percussion is pretty decent, actually the quality of all the sounds taken apart is pretty cool. FX are cool too. And I like that twinkling sound (probably a simple sine with delay and reverb).

What style is this anyway? Sort of progressive hypnolike trance or so?

Cheers!
-Jay

i really like the repeated background noise - the one that starts the tune.

if i wrote this tune the instruments would have a lot more distortion and sound more metallic. i like the progression of the instruments together. you could use some work on the synth at 5:08 - something doesn't seem to be in tune. this could be intentional but it's not something i like.

i really like the high bells - you could use more accompaniment to the melody in the middle so it doesn't sound as repetitive.

overall a good tune - and i like the way you break it down back to the original beat .. something i like to do with my tunes.

Thanks for the feedback!

I would classify it as dark progressive trance/house.

In fact it's loosely trance at all.

I'm not sure why, but the bass sounds really distored in the mp3 playback, maybe the 112k bit mp3 playback screwed it up.

Also now that I'm listening to it I might want to change the 2nd chord that my keyboard plays after the break, it may sound a little less trippy and strange if I change it to a major or 7th (something more expected) and that will solve that 5:08 problem.

Cool

this is pretty cool

the background noise goes on far too long imo. there is a general lack of percs in the mid region with all the frequencies stretched to the extremes. the sweeps are decent. the tune seems very basic, i can't hear many elements apart from a few percs, bass, sweep noise/synth and a weird sine type melody. there is also a minute at the end that is very basic.

imo, good start, could be great if built on, it doesn't really go anywhere and the focus of the tune is overshadowed by not so great synths and a pretty strange sweeping melody, but it has potential

thanks for the reply and review.

Yeah, I can see what you mean about it lacking a little in the melody/chord feel department. I was trying to keep it on the prog tip and not get into melodic, but maybe I ended up in minimalistic prog instead (blah).

I think that chord change and some minor tweaking might be the trick. Maybe a better buildup before the outtro to make it more dj friendly too.

Right off the bat I love this track.
I still listen and love your Waves of Love (TussinSpace 3) mix. I love it becuase of the track selection. Its just so chill and danceable with lots of songs with great basslines.
This song of yours fits your style perfectly. And in fact, it fits mine too.
With every download on this site I realize that my tastes are very broad.
Anyway, I love your bassline. Hihat work is exceptional; its simple and gets the job done! I love the FX in the background of the track. Cool percs. Nice, mysterious, simple melody. But the only one gripe I have is the electrical sound that comes in at 4:58. Maybe its hitting the wrong key or something. I dont know. Im not really feeling it though, Im sorry.
However, it still does not take any of my total enjoyment out of the track as a whole. Great job!
Still, if you could change that sound that Im talking of into something that fits better, I believe that you would have a sick track. Oh yeah, the kick is nice too. Nothing to sharp, more of a thump... I dig.
