HappyHappy [trance]full track - dunno what to call it yet =) would love criticism

hi everybody, the sample I posted before is finished now, thanks for all the great comments about it =)

gunna think of a name when I think of the lyrics

this will be the instrumental version - although I'm thinking about changing the lead completely, as it may be a little old school (as some of my respected producers have affirmed to me =) - tell us what you think

I'm working on a version with vocals, which I'll post as soon as it's done, but in the mean time, be as critical as you like, cause it needs tweaks:

many thanks in advance

Nice intro... Like the buildup.

The synth/bass that came in at 0:54 should be beefed up a bit

Like the breakdown at 2:50: those pads sounds real good... Did you program those or you used a sample?

That synth at 3:26 is building the heat up good...

and...

hmmmm... lacks a bit of drama... No splashs, no crash at 3:50... I was waiting for something harder...

Nice, I like that part 4:32... Now that's what I was waiting for!

Change at 5:00 is really drastic but don't ask me why; it really fits good in there! But I coulda used more of that melody... Maybe make it going on for another 8 bars?

Good outro.

Really nice job overall.

Peace bro (I'm saving that one on my harddisk )

cheers matey - tis all programmed, no samples (well, the percs and drums are layered 1 shots...)

in the vocal version, the vocal comes in at 2:45 - but I really should do something else with that section, as this will be an instrumental version

vocals will be through to about 3:20 in the final

appreciate you time sir =)

hmm
call it garbage
hehe just kidding
ur mastering is excellent as usuall, even for 112 rip hehe
build up is great, now the climax i hear u add another synth, u should definatly add that synth in the first 2 minutes building up, because its not good when it comes by surprise, but ur melody is good, very catchy
hope the vocals work out,
peace out

Got this already m8, usually I listen a few times before I review (if it's quality)

At start, the kick is a bit confusing... but you just need to know how it flows.
That low square sound is a bit too simple i guess.
First coming lead is a nice one, my kind of sound. Could use a tad of verb to create a little room.
Percs have a nice swing, I like them. Uplifting tune so far.
Nice pads in the break. Ok lead is coming in now.
Very uplifting, i think it could use more phatness, like some phaser maybe, just to fancy it just a bit. and I'd give it a tad more high presence.
Energetic tune! Produced very well. Sounds a bit flat and rawish here and there... but i don't really mind. Good work!!

cheers Jay =)

I think most of the points you made come down to the fact it's just a 112kbit (I think at least =)

I'll be working on the vocal over the next two days, so I should have a re-mastered version up with vocal shortly (but due to a little bit of RC interest, it may have to be a sample) - so I'll try some of the things you suggest =)

cheers for taking the time to listen and review =)

this track has a real nice sound.. i dont like how simple it is in the beginning.. but the release is worth the simplicity of the intro..

what did u use for the main lead?

thanks for listening moolow and alonzo;

the main lead is a JP8000 - which even though it's old gets a lot of use

thanks for your time, I really appreciate it - especially considering this track has had well over 100 downloads now and I've got about 7 responses from here =)

cheers guys- pm me with anything you want reviewed
