Peter Safranyos - Honour

hello mates,

finally, i just finished off a new track under my real name, hopefully you will like this one, i tried to remain on my main style (influenced by mainly robert nickson), but it's rather an energy track compared to my last work called Cloudland,

here is the link:

Peter Safranyos - Honour

forget about the eqing, anyway, since it still needs a lot of work i know, but please let me know what you think about the track overall,

comments, suggestions always appreciated,

thanks for listening to my music,

cheers,
Peter

listening:

sounds very heavy.. melodies are a bit too messed.. i can hear strings but they are too drowned.. breakdown now.. dont like the melody too much.. too many notes going on and too little tension.. cool vocals or whatever.. i like the build up after the breakdown.. but all those notes kinda doesnt fit that well imo...

cheers

I have listened to your track and it sounds good, I like the acidized atmospheric sound, but I dont like the melody too much, good breakdown but then there are too much instruments in it... so you have to reduce ,but this can be good tune... overall is good.. keep making on it.. and this can be good...

hmmm the melody where it goes up.. hmmm out of each 4 bars it is the 2nd 2 bars, dont make it do that.

for the 1st 2 bars of the melody i love it then i get confused the 2nd two... (if this makes sense)

raise the kick, tho u said dont comment on mixing and eq so strike that commment.

LOVE the fx on this on.

Though i do feel one more synth should come right up the middle on this one, one that isnt too detuned... kinda like maybe the lead used in above & beyond's britney spears remix...

keep it simple.

The acid synths are amazing, really love em!

Watch the stereo image, its phazing alot- also watch your layers, you're layering too many parts so its tough to find the main idea

I really like how it all builds, just watch levels of your synths to incorporate a MAIN idea instead of a bunch of stuff going on around so the track will seem more focused.

Overall, easy fixes, this track has mega potential!

I can hear the stereo image thing mentioned ahead. There's not a real hook in here, it's a bit of a blur of synths.

But I always wonder, the lead synth should be in de middle right, you can make that one more mono right..?

Now that arp thing is annoying me a bit, it's not random, but it's just messy I think. The synth sound of it is a bit standard IMO. Percs are good. FX are nice too. Kick and bass sound good to me. Maybe you can give the kick a tad more punch.

That's it for now. Not bad so far, I hope you can put some more work to it!

I enjoyed this track quite a bit... but here's some constructive criticism.

Personally, I don't really enjoy the lead. It jumps around too much and it is too random. There is nothing wrong with it melodically, but if it had a bit more structure to it I would like it more. The acid lead things in the background I liked. The bass however, is really muddy. I have trouble making out the notes. Try to carve its own place in the mix.

Other than that, the pads are superbly done, the track flows well, and it's a real stomper of a track. A bit too ASOT style for my likings but I guess people still enjoy that kind of sound .

thanks guys, for all the comments!

agreed about the main melody is too comlplex, will rework it or write a new one for sure, which will fit the tune much better,

cheers,

Peter
