Madama Butterfly - KFS

Hey guys, been a while since I offered anything here. DJing plus eating and breathing tend to occupy a lot of my time.

Keep in mind I am not a genious producer, just doing this for the fun of it.

KFS - Madama Butterfly

Any pointers, tips etc. will be greatfully recieved.

I know there are some issues with the track so don't worry about hurting my feelings too much.

Look forward to your comments

All the best
Nem

WOW, sorry to hurt your feeling mate, but this track rocks, wonder what would happen if you were a genious producer!

Please get rid off that vocals at the beginning of the break down.
Very nice breakdown (w/o the vocals)
Awesome track overalll.

I thought you just were a great DJ, I had not idea you were also a great producer imo!
Cheers

hey mate,

This track is packed with energy. Listened with pleasure to it. You could let the pads during the build up stand out a bit more. Compared to the beat they are a bit muffled.

Furthermore work on the mastering. You do not have a lot of mid frequencies and the whole track sounds a bit canned.

But overall a nice energetic pulsating track which kept me listening with pleasure until the end. A bit of old fashioned Dummonde style

Cheers,

Nomen Nescio

Sounds very nice to me there mate! You've been too modest with me in your email

The only thing that bothered me a little was the fact that the lead sounded a bit dry, perhaps also open the filter 100%? The clap also sounded a bit off, would love to have had a 'regular' one - but guess that's peanuts.

Good job so far!

Cheers,
Wim

I will ditch the vocals happily. Actually something that my wife wanted in there more than me so you can blame her.

Will work on the mids and also open up the filter etc.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Cheers

Hey,
Listening ..... Great drums, they sound very well done, I am digging them , the rest, all sounds fine, is a bit minimalist for my taste, but that's just me , as someone else mentioned, U should use the filter 100%, but that's just a very lil detail, other than that, the Mastering it's Superb!, this is an awesome track indeed, good work mate .
Kopi =o.

Hey Nem!

Hehe I was a fan of your God track, but then it suddenly became quiet around you.. Let's have a listen to this.

I think the bassline is a bit too backward in the mix, I'd give that a bit more body. Levels here and there are a bit odd.
But you have used some great sounds. The sweeping synth is a nice one. The hats are very crisp.. a bit too crisp, maybe add some more low end.. that is mid freqs. There's a lot of highs in the whole mix actually..
Nice vocal hehe.
It ain't really my style with the off snare and all, but it's overal a pretty good production.

Nem's back

-Jay

Well this is more an EQ and level thingy I was talking about, that could do a lot in the mix. Mastering sucks hehe, don't put too much time in it..

i dont know, it seems to be swimming in highs, making the tune a bit airy.

at 2.59 when the pads come in it gets really nice.

Some extra theme would be nice.

Good to see yuou back Nem
