Nice ideas. Nice and chunky sounding.

But the track pretty much goes nowhere. Nothing much happens. Even in a chillout track, you kind of expect some sort of progression from one musical phrase to another. There's some flow to this piece, yes, but nothing happens.

Yeah i know what you mean i was thinking about that and i really dont know what to do. Any suggestions? do you think more layering or something?

y'know what?.... alot of ppl must overlook it, but there's a "fat mode" in each channel of FL...i think it's under the "misc" tab er something.

Yeah. I don't personally much like it. It's part of the 'echo' function under the 'func' tab.

No... layering just makes something sound more full. What you need is progression. In music, this can be done in about a thousand different ways. One of the more common is to intentionally use chords and melody structures that don't resolve (basically, the ones that sound okay, but not quite 'right', if that makes sense? It's been eons since I paid attention in any theory class), and then resolve them before moving on.

Listen to some of the tracks off the first Tranceport album. To my mind, they are some of the greatest every written, especially in terms of progression (appropriate, as they're progressive trance, eh?)

Listen to how each musical phrase flows smoothly from one to the next, to the next, to the next. That should help give you some ideas.

Anyways. Don't forget to give every instrument a place on the frequency spectrum with the Equaliser, and don't forget to give every instrument (except kick/bass) a place in the room with the stereo enhancer.
