The main melody has definite potential. But it sounds like it's a bit off in terms of key... something just doesn't click as well as it should. But I must say that weird under melody thing that happens in the buildup at like 45sec or so is horrid (the same one that happens right before the second break). I feel like the type of melody and progression of it needs a harder bass punch... it sounds relatively flat compared to the rest of the track.

the entire track is in the key of Eb Minor.. I used a I-VI-VII chord progression... everything is in tune.. listen again

thanks for the comments.. more are welcome

this is very energetic . reminds me of like aura / trance control

it reminds me of stuff i was listening to when i first got into trance, but that's not a bad thing.

have you tried making any chilled out darker tracks?

i have a feeling you would do a good track like that too.

okok, heres my little rewiev.

don't like the bassline that much (needs more lower frequencies i guess). the fx are cool (maybe you could make give them some more edge instead of the liquid sound). the drums are ok, too (maybe some bongos or rims benaeth the standart percusions to fill it up). i totaly agree with en2t on the sound that comes in at 0.40 but i appreciate that you did something unique. i realy enjoyed the part where the main-lead gets filtered in. the melody sounds good to me. like this acidisch sound in the background of the melody. what i was missing during the whole song was some pads or strings and the buildup could be a bit better, some of the transitions are abit ugly (e.g. when the melody comes in)

though, a good production with some weaknesses. i give you 7/10 points.

cheers, niklas.

Sounds like someones had a bad day?

Really dude, this ch00n is really nice =)..
I like the melody ALOT. But the bassdrum needs work, some lower frequences like one said before me =)..

Its energetic and driving throughout the whole ch00n, i like that..
And the breakdown around 4:10 something is nice =)

Ill give it a 7,5/10

Hi,

This tune starts pretty nice, but at 0:34 it's getting a bit too messy and loud IMO. The hihats are a bit too present. The clap is ugly. That pulsy counter melody is pretty cool, but too loud. At the break the melody is just too loud, and that too low piano playing along makes it muddier, I think you should change (remove) that. Mastering could be better as well, it's as if you still have too many low end to your synths, dunno, could be clearer.

I don't want to tear it all apart. The melody is quite cool, and the track has a good drive with lots of energy. Kick sample does a good job as well. Just many tiny things I would change at first.

Hope this helps
-Jay

yeh as hard as I try I still tend to produce tracks that sound like what I was listening to when I First got into trance as well.. A few people have told me to be more creative with playing around with the melodies and crap instead of just bringing it right in..

I realized that the percussion in this track was just a one-shot deal.. it could of just been a loop throughout the entire track.. will put some more complex fills and crap into the next one

there was a light pad there but I guess it wasn't full/loud enough to fill up the breakdown..
