I like this. There are some good ideas on show here. The breakdown & build up in perticular is impressive.

My main gripes are that all the elements in the track seem to be very distant from each other. I would try to make everything a little tighter sounding. Also the overall mix sounds a little thin, which makes the lo end of the track get drowned out from time to time. The track as a whole needs to be more punchy.

Other then that its not bad

There's something about the general buildup I just don't like. The instruments to me just don't cut it. They sound a bit empty, like there could be something more to it (when the hi-hats and such hit).

Hi,

I feel the whole track has a bit too much high end. It's all sounding clear tho.
Original percs at start.
A bit minimal, but not bad.
Subbass is ok, the rolling one is good too.
Yeah track could use more low end. It's clipping here and there because of the highs!
Melody is good, I don't know the original but i like it.
Nice pads in that break. Lead synth coming there is nice as well.
Sounding a bit too rawish tho, could use some chorus fx on it or so.
Not too fond of the breakbeats, around 6:40. After that it's continuing without any change, i think you could leave that part and just build down after the break.
Highs are getting on my nerves now.

Nice track. Have a look at the levels.

thanks for all the feeback

Killa : im chuffed with u saying it sounds like pulser hehe, i guess u mean u dont like the slightly gated pad, it is a little thin but i thought that the phatness of the saw strings would be fine to balance it out.

Tim : glad u liked mate

Bren : I had problems giving it any real punch to be honest. think thats due to the kick being drowned out, but i replaced the kick now and its much more prominant. Glad u enjoyed overall tho

Stories : Dunno wot to say really. dont think u really got the idea of the mix to be honest.

Jay : I ended up putting extra high end on the track when mastering because if u look at it in a graphic display even now its still looks like its lacking at the top end. I'll have a play tho and see wot i can do. and as a couple of people have mentioned it seems to need some more low end which would help with the lack of punch that bren mentioned i guess too.

thanks again evry1

any more

Yes, finally!

I don't know if the version I got is any different, but you said you changed the kick anyway. That was the main thing that I noticed to be changed - it feels like it needs to be more pounding, like some of the low-end frequencies are missing to it.

Enjoyable tune nonetheless. I don't think I've heard the original so I can't comment on how it is as a remix, but just as a tune it's some good stuff. Melodies sound very nice and I like the acid sounds you used. Some of the percs could do with some delay in my opinion - I think it would make them sound more interesting.

Nice tune though. Cheers for it!

What's this 'ere then? I'd best take a gander...

Well, after something of a slow start it's certainly apparent that you embraced the wonderful melodiouness of Michael Woods' original masterpiece. While percussion is a little thin on the ground, you've done some very nice work with the synths. As noted by others a re-master would be a wise move; the track as a whole is too loud, leading to all that distortion. Good for heavy metal, not so good in this case.

Really good effort mate i was pleasantly suprised. defiantely had a pulser sound to it to begin with

i have to agree like the others it seems a but spaced out in terms of the high end - low end thing. personally, i think the high end is too high perhaps?!

have you heard the accadia club mix of this? if not i reccomend you take a listen to compare and contrast. anyway well done, you took a brave step remixing a track which already has a great club mix, ambient mix and that outstanding james holden remix and that ever interesting ashtrax remix.

keep up the good work!
