Quality track. I couldn't find anything I disliked. It had a very good groove there.

Mister Krikster!

Lovely tune you have here! Excellent and interesting percussion as always. That instrument, I'm not sure what the hell it is but it sounds fantastic! Very well produced track, although not as catchy as 'No Ordinary Moments' which remains to be my favourite tune of yours. No complaints on this one though, thanks for sharing!

-Clean break out and break in to the bass. The bass is a little weak though. It needs to be a little closer in volume to the guitar pulses.
-Good counter-bass rhythm.
-Good use of effects as well. Nicely done. Effects can be some of the hardest things to logically place. I struggle in this area and envy you :P.
-Good intro synth work. Sounds very atmospheric.
-WOW. I love the strained electric guitar. AWESOME! The reverb on it is exactly perfect and the timbre is beautiful.
-Good short break down. Its nice. The percussion in the break might be a little more eerie if you turned on a send for a bit of reverb for them (somewhere in the neighborhood of 13-15% in a big room or hall).
-Heres the full break. I like it but it could be lendthened by using some filtering. Lowpass on the melodic and high pass on the bass instruments could add a lot to the break.
-The bass is definantly too quiet. I can hear it and it sounds good but its too quiet to be an effective driving bassline.

Overall, very good potential for this song. It does seem to be a little empty but that could be cleared up by the simple act of turning up the bass. I really look forward to hearing any updates to this song. If you are interested in talking business, drop me a line asap. ([email protected])

Cheers,
Zac

Hey Zac,

I want to thank you for taking the time to provide such a detailed review! Your points are well taken. I'll take a look at the bass, and see how I can boost it. I'll be sending an email shortly! Thanks again for the review.

Joe! How ya doin buddy? I'm glad ya liked this one.. I was going for groovy instead of super-melodic, but it's nice to know how much ya like No Ordinary Moments. Thanks for the kind words.
In other news, the MSN ban is still going strong at work... it takes all my effort to hide trance addict! Hopefully I'll catch you online one of these days when I am at home in the evening. Then I can send you videos of little kids getting hurt and fat people struggling to walk.

Cool track, pretty well made and I can see what they're saying about the suitability for a porn film it's the sax sounds that do it... hehe

I'd personally like to hear a little bit more going on, maybe more pads etc, although it's not exactly my specialist area (I'm pretty picky about my prog)

Good work.

6/10

(Scale: 0 = don't bother, 1-3 = needs work, 4-5 = nearly there, 6-8 = releasable, 9-10 = I'd play it)

A bit naughty sounding from the start. Nice percussive elements. IMO the sounds here are a bit thin. The clap and synth sounds could be phattened if you ask me. Some variety in the fx sounds, and some additions here and there would do good too I think.. there's just plenty of room left. Bass is a bit weak, could use a little boost.

At around 2:00 there appear nice proggy sounds an I love those. The flute/distorted thing is really cool. That one sounds full and warm, nicely done!

Apart from tiny things I mentioned is pretty top stuff! Good atmosphere!

Hee mate!

Like the sounds u are using, man that guitar is really great.Maybe you could give the bassline a more driving twist. Man this is really wicked ibiza hangin on the beach with a cocktail in my hand watching the sun go down.
Excellent job. Just fatten the stuff up a little bit!

- i like the slow build and progression
- like mentioned, you should work with the bass and make it more poignant, sorta like the bass in "the world doesn't know" by tilt
- i'd also give more attention to the hats/percs, just to make things more interesting
- overall, i really enjoyed this

Very nice tune...a bit empty but very groovy. I especially love at 1:57 when the delay synth enters...and then it changes notes...I loved it. Yeah, the song itself is very empty...but I still enjoyed it and it'll probably go in my "Driving Choons" folder.
