Good productions, all three of them. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think these are really good, but as people have said theirs nothing that really breaks the mould or breaks them apart from each other, maybe a vocal would help?

*edit* Scrap that, Cloudchaser is a monster! Had it on high volume just now and it gave me gooseys

I think these three tracks are great, Static Blue keeps true to his style.

I read some comments here about "using the same percussions" and things sounding the same. Well, what big artists doesn't do that? It's a smart thing to use the same sounds so that when you hear a track you know who made it. I do this myself.

Anyways, off to the tracks:
Cloudchaser: I'm liking the drive in this, love it when the strings are subtly introduced at 1:24, makes a nice feel
The break is very uplifting, love that reverby electric guitar you have. Nice stuff

Summer Memories: I think this one is the best of the bunch, it has a very nice drive and I love the choirs in it. Very uplifting.

Heaven's Open, also very nice. Great feeling at 2:50

Well done mate

Perhaps you should take your own advice....

Anyway about the tracks, I like Summer Memories the most, sounds very like a Gouryella track, great bassline too.
Cloud chaser was also very nice too, though I prefer Summer Memories too it.
The other one was just ok i think, nothing special.

About the tracks being 'generic', fair enough they are nothing ground breaking, but why do people talk as if every song should rewrite the rules? IMO Mr Static should continue to make music the way he likes it, and not change things around just because some gonk says it is 'generic'.

Hey Jon, haven't talked with you in a while, listening to these tracks, just gonna give you the negative crits:

It sounds like the kick is too powerful in all of these songs, if i'm not mistaken. Its much louder than the bassline. the kick in summer memories kind of drowns out the lead. the production is fairly solid, percs are strong, the acid synth in cloud chaser is real nice. In all of these songs, i'm not liking the melodies, they're far too uplifting. Cloud Chaser sounds like it was written in major. I dunno, i'm not too big on super uplifting anymore, everything starts sounding similar.

I'm not going to lie, though, they are sort of generic but they're done well regardless. I'm not sure if big labels are into signing this sort of trance anymore. All the best, man.

Actually a lot swith them up. Many keep similar sounding kicks in their productions but the rest is different. Take airbase (parc) or alucard for example. Even TA's mike foyle switches it up a lot.

Exactly. Having a distinct style doesn't mean one would have to use the same sounds every time.

Hi Jon! Sup m8.

Comments that the tracks sound a bit generic and the same are understandable. Tho it's a good thing to get routine in making tracks which sound solid. Just pick the best, make the most out of it and gamble on that one and send out.

Lead on Heaven's Open is really thin and high-ish in the spectrum, needs more body and they should leave more room for the hats imo too.
Melody does me nada.

Cloud chaser's lead guitar with slow attack is original.. but sounds like a crying cat. I'd do something to it, phase it or so, something to make it more solid. Melody is better in this one, and i like the arp in it.

Summer Memories is the most generic of them. Melody is "yawnage carnage".

I'm sure there's people still into uplifting and stuff, so i hope uplifting sells good enough to get these a nice label. I'd seriously consider some fresh air into this room though. But quality is just fine, some level or eq issues here and there but nothing big, thumbs up for that.

thanks for your input everyone. It's also good to receive some honest negative feedback sometimes, it reminds me I still have a long way to go.

Some parts of those 3 tracks sound similar, I agree. Maybe they are even too similar when compared to each other, and I'm glad you noticed it That's something I can concentrate on while finishing the tracks.

I would just like to point something out : this is the style of music that I truly enjoy making. I understand that some of you find it too generic but as opposed to the comments saying I use the same sounds too much (which is a good point), comments like "your sound is generic" aren't helping me

The tracks sound fine to me man, most generally the guys who comment on a track sounding generic are jealous that other people might get successful off an already successful formula, because they spend 50 hours a day trying to evolutionize the scene by writing 50 original pieces of shit.

Good day.
