Nice build you have going in that intro man! I'm enjoying the style you are going with now, man! That synth around 120 is awesome as HELL! I love it man! That sound at 2:22 was pretty phat too!

Man, if this doesn't get signed, I don't know what work of yours won't! This track has a bit of power, and uplifting elements.

Yes, the Synth Choir does sound synthy of course, but it had some interesting dark themes. It actually sounded purdy to me! I love the way it melted into the track man! Damn, Wim, your sound has gotten a LOT BETTER!!!!

I'm enjoyin this man! The melody after the break fit so much! And damn what POWER! KEEP THIS UP!!! -Mental

I love those synths yes, they fit for quite alot of sounds I think. I'm glad you like it mate, thanks very much for your comment. I'm not gonna keep my hopes up yet for this tune, cause I've learned my lesson about those labels since Meriva...

Cheers,
Wim

Whoooah! Top class mate.

Can't really think of anything other than I didn't get to hear the version with the vocals but I can't really think of a matrix vocal that would fit that style of track. Not to mention that matrix vocals have been done to death.

I must admit that I do hear what DJ-Sean is talking about with the kick sound.

Summary:
Top quality tunage with a lot of excellent energy changes. I like this!

Cheers
Nem

An artifact is a term used to describe something that sticks around after processing that you don't want there. For example (this has happened to me many times), if you rip a kick from a track often times it's not playing solo and has percussions going along with it, and as a result the kick sample will have a high hat kicking around on the tail of it. If you filter out the high frequencies of the tail end to get rid of the hat, you'll often be left this subtle wobble type sound where the high hat once was; this is called an artifact, and that sorta sounds like what's going on here.

One way I've found of getting rid of this is by doing the following:

-Run a highpass filter over your kick to eliminate the bass, then copy the what you have left to the clipboard (the punchy part of the kick).
-Now run a low pass filter over the original kick so you're left with nothing but the bass.
-Cut the tail end containing the artifact off of the kick.
-Stretch what you have left such that it's still the original length, and fade out as necessary.
-Paste the high part of the kick back onto it.

Results may vary

This is Great Trance Music (in capitals)! Should be listened at high volume

One little thing: this kick, it seems to me it's too present, it takes away attention. Is it me, or...?

Sean's got an hell of an ear! I didn't even notice the 'artifact' he speaks of! Wim, keep it up! Remember what I said in my past PM's, how I don't BS when I reviews, and I think your work has improved DRASTICALLY! -Mental

Yeah, I think I know what you mean. With GoldWave (and maybe other programs) you can filter by a certain shape, isn't it? I dunno if it's a hihat in this case though, sounds more like another percussion thingy.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a shot.

I can't really find it, either.. what do I need to hear it?

To avoid these artifacts, isn't it just better to generate the kicks by yourself? What program could you use for it? I usually create 'em with the Fruity kick in FL but I'd rather use a better one... Tips anyone?

As I love chilled trance, there is no doubt that I also like your tune. The sound of the riffs and placement of the notes if skillfuly done can really lift you up to somewhere else. This is the case here however it also shows that I am quiet a long way off of perfecting my own method at writing compeling trance tunes.

Good work mate although one thing suck in my mind after listening to your tune. The kick sounded just that little bit too loud. And by that I really do mean little.
