It's kinda slow indeed, can you call it your first "trance"..?
You got some good trancy and ambient sounds in it though, lead is ok and the chors/melody too.
Maybe if you can put them in some hot summer club hit with uplifting beat and percussion, you might even call it very good music!

For a first attempt this pretty good. As has been the said the bassline needs some work and percussions could be beefed quite a lot. Also lacks any real pad sounds, you've got a few nice 'swoosh' sounds in there but nothing to provide any real atmosphere. Some decent warm strings would improve this no end.
I'm really sorry mate but I don't like it. It just does not seem to gel together and all sounds a bit too choppy. Which is a shame as you have quite a nice lead synth there too.
To me, for your first try, this seems above the standard set by other people who have just composed there first tune. Keep at it... it can only get better...

The synth delay sounds a wee bit too distorted. Maybe if you speed up the whole thing aswell?
There is a movie sound track by Hans Zimmer that sounds just like this and I can't remember which one... it's driving me nuts. Ah... wait a sec... no it's the theme from Rainman... give that a listen and you will hear some similarities.
As always, I'm interested to know what you are using to make this with. As long as it's not E-jay I think you should be happy with your result.
It does indeed lack speed if it's trance that you are making but all in all a nice little number that sounds more like the score to a film than perhaps a dance floor track though.
Cheers

Alanzo, I just love that line in your sig... blinder.
