Starts with weird sounds. But they're ok. I think I'd have use more sounds when the hihat comes in, just 1 layer is a bit too thin there. I don't like the kick at all, it has that plop which i'm not fond of. Those strings coming in the break are pretty nice. For the rest of the synths it feels like use just picked some random presets and throwed them in. It's a bit messy. The breakbeat is doing well later in the track. Back at 4/4 it's actually hurting my ears, too many synths. Sorry this isn't my cup of tea.

I actually like the "post-apocolyptic" feel of the introduction. The kick is perfect ...as it suits the feel of this song. Maybe a tad more punch would be okay. I know you dont layer kicks, maybe consider more compression and amplitude. The hihat also is different but fits well. Nice filtering and effects at 2:40ish... LOVE THE BREAK AT 3:20..OMG..that rocked!!! The only blow against this song is its title Dez! Sounds like something my mom would listen to based on the title.
CMON!! THIS IS MORE LIKE... "Advance of the Mech God", or "Machina", or "Cyberlust"... okay..well..laff if you will, it's not as Bette Midler as your title!

Great work Dezma!

pretty nice track, kind of M.I.K.E.ish (listen to "turn out the lights" and you'll know what I mean)

the melodies and the build defenetly have potentials but you need to work more on the percussionpart, there's just not enough sounds in there.

you might wanna turn up the kick a few notches, it get's kind of eaten up by the rest of the sounds in the track at this volume.

apart frmo that the track is pretty cool, it's nice that it doesn have that regular beginning most trancetracks have...never be afraid to try something diferent

hehe start is very cool.

to much treble on that hihat. from 1.09

ya indeed percussion part does need work.

the Synth sound very heavy, think to much reverb? or to loud.

kick needs more low frequnecies.

oooooooooooh 2.48 mint how the pad kicks in!!

The melody is sweet, and those effects before you want it to kick in are cool also, but it didn't bang like i hoped it should..

mixing isn't top notch overall, and the percussion and kick need work, and even maybe the bass..

But damn man, the melody and pads are really nice, indeed MIKE.

Hope you can sort out the production here mate.

Good track mate, I like the melodies. There are bit too much high freqs in the mix though I think.

Has a darker/sinister feel than most trancers I heard here, which I feel adds to the fact that it sounds like MIKE.

Keep it up!
Wim

Nice work I love the mood of it.

The strings sound good, I like the melodies as well.

The kick sounds fine to me

The off hats are a little to high pitched and short for my taste. I think I would have liked something that rang out a little longer.

Overall I like it alot though, good work
Hope to see more.

sorry the bass is too loud for me dude, it could be my speakers, but it drownes everything... the melody and effects arent that bad.. but the bass the synths and melodies are pretty good.. but some more percussions would do as well..

Your the first complaining about that so maybe it could be your speakers or subwoofer is giving a bit too much bass (btw remember I told you in the "mercury" thread your song did IMHO lack a bit bass)
Others who think it has too much bass? If so I'll clear things out (still don't have decent studio monitors so I'm not 100% sure who is right)

i dont think the bass is too loud, but i dont like it, i think i think the kick and bass should always work together to drive the track, and i dont think it does it this, it mite just be down to taste really. but i think where the kick hits, the bass should drop in volume instead of staying that the same level. Also, i dont like how the filter opens on the bass and it almost turns into another lead. synths are quite nice, melody is nice. dark feeling. i dont hate the kick, but i dont like it that much. the snare roll is far to flat for my liking, pads and stuff are all very nice and churchy, maybe a bit over panned tho. I think with a louder deeper kick with some more drive, it could work really well, at the moment the kick really gets lost i think, when you get half way through the track it is over powered by everything else, and so u dont get the drive from it that i feel this track needs. the acidy synth with the reso is quite nice but too much reso in my opinion, perhaps some reverb could work well there to. i personally dont like how the clap goes off on one if you know what i mean? like it goes kick clap kick clap clap, i dont really like that because it sounds a bit tacky to me. Definately the synths over power the track a bit much, try reducing the volume of them a bit maybe. the melody is great and has lots of potential, i think it just needs some work.

cheers for sharing

mike
