You can't build loops with Battery. It simply edits and plays back samples. You have use Battery as a plug in with some DAW, like abelton, to sequence the samples youve got in battery.

The vid is pretty easy to copy in logic with battery.
Open Logic, create a instrument track, select battery, put various samples in the cells (control click, load sample), then set a playback loop in logic, hit record, then tap in on your midi keyboard according to which notes you want. If you don;t have a midi keyboard then, then if you press caps lock, a virtual keyboard comes up and you can use that.

Pardon my ignorance, than what's the purpose of Battery? So you're saying than it's just pretty much to make my own drum kits? I have several producer friends that they always show me their new beats and they tell me they do them on BATTERY.
I do have Ableton and Logic, but before I dig onto Logic I wanna finish exploring Ableton.
I bought Ableton 6 when it first came out and I didn't touched it til last year. lol That beast was intimidating as hell. Than, one day Mike Lord showed me the basics of making mashups and mixes. Ableton became a piece of cake after that. Now that I got the producing bug, I'm digging more into it and I have tons of questions! lol Unfortunately my good friend Mike Lord moved out of the country so I can't ask him anymore.

Manual doesn't show you how to use it, it just tells you what each function does. I'm a visual guy, I need to see someone do it once to get it.
Thanks Jay, that's the same video that came with the DVD. The problem is that it leaves you hanging. Once you load the samples than what? How do you program the samples? How do you automate them? Stuff like that. Get what I'm saying.

That tutorial is very standard stuff. But as a beginner I can see why it'd be helpful |
Yea, I'm just learning. I had Battery 3 since it came out and never used it. I simply don't understand it. Until I see someone use it, someone show me or simply watch a video I probably won't get it. The thing with Battery is that it came with some pretty cool samples, so now that I'm getting my feet wet I wanted to use them. Oh well, in the meantime I loaded them into Ableton. hahahaha
THANKS GUYS FOR YOUR ADVICE!!!
