1. Find them, introduce yourself, see if you can hold up a conversation with them for at least 10 minutes, see if they laugh at your lame jokes, etc.
|
That's exactly what I was thinking.. you talk to her for 10 minutes just to see if she likes you. Doesn't mean she has to sleep with you. Why would you waste money on someone who doesn't even like you?!?! |

| lol ok u got me there......for the most part ur right about that...but if ur nice an ur cute ...i may stick around also...but theres also a general rule of thumb i go by: NEVER PICK UP AT A BAR OR A CLUB!!! It always leads to trouble....if it isnt for the end lay for the guys its for the free drinks or the lay at the end of the night for the broad.....either way u know theyre gonna be at the next bar/club the next night or week for the same reason....i know not everybody goes for those reasons, but its the nice ones that get screwed over an used and abused.... |

clubs are the worst. Bars...I dunno, depends on how you go about talking to the girl I guess. |

Well, girls certainly shouldn't "expect" guys to buy them drink, but I don't think there is anything wrong with buying girl a drink.. So what if it doesn't go anywhere.. if a girl would sleep with any guy who'd buy her a drink, wouldn't she be a slut anyway? IMHO buying girl a drink is a good and gentleman way to start a conversation, which may or may not lead anywhere... it sure beats grabbing girl by the ass or sticking your dick up her ass during some r'n'b song. |
you rule!:) |

i find this whole thread a little disturbing. i have never been overly concerned w/ ppl buying me drinks. it really doesn't mean a lot to me at all. in fact, i'm not very comfortable w/ ppl i hardly know buying me drinks b/c it is expected that i have to talk to them for the duration of the drink, and i don't know if i know them well enough to know if i want to do that. are there really girls that are so hard up for booze that they are willing to chat w/ guys they have interest in, just to get a few drinks off of them? how lame.
if a guy wants to buy a drink as a gesture. i see no problem w/ that. as long as they go into it not expecting much. i don't see why you would bother 'running tests' on the girl to see if she is worthy. a drink isn't much of an investment, it's not a wedding ring. to act in such a manner is both cheap and lame. if you don't want to buy drinks for a girl, don't. i personally don't think it's necessary to do so. when a guy offers his seat in the longue or that kind of thing, it's nice. it's more about a kind gesture, than spending $.

You may think this is stupid and you're entitled to your opinion, but IMO, if you absolutely must buy drinks, then this is the way to go about it:
1. Find them, introduce yourself, see if you can hold up a conversation with them for at least 10 minutes, see if they laugh at your lame jokes, etc.
2. If you're getting along, then excuse yourself for JUST a few minutes, go to the bathroom or something, see if the person is still around when you come back.
3. Talk a few more minutes, then offer the drink.
This shows all the chivalry of buying them a drink, but lets you weed out the leeches. Talking to her beforehand also shows the girl that you're not just trying to booze her up so you can screw her. |
whoa, bud, you've got some serious issues... |

i second that emotion....
thats a cookbook for "geez should i even bother??"
the steps go like this
1. walk up to the girl,
2. see he facial expressions while u talk to her for 2-4 mionutes
3. if its pleasent and accepting,, guy her a dirnk if u want, nobody is forcing u to |

its not even the having to talk to them. its the danger of getting something put into your drink by some creep. like that happens all the time.
hint for the guys, if you want the girl to accept the drink, then make sure she sees when it it being made or the cap is still on when she gets it. i have had to return drinks to the bartender before because i didn't want to get drugged. |
