I remember one time when I was at work hanging up some crap, when for no reason I just though to myself "wouldn't it be weird if I saw Gary here" (Gary being a classmate of mine) and honestly after a couple of minutes Gary came up to me and said hello, he said he was just in the store to buy paper or something. It was such a weird coincidence cuz it's not really that big of a store and I hadn't seen him at school for a few days.
Sorry if that sucked. |

a: dejavus - i have about a minumum of 8 dejavus a day, and they are driving me insane
b: the guy that had the ball lightning thingy happen to him is very lucky he decided not to move, because moving would have attracted the BL directly at you, which means death,,,
c: very intresting reads in this thread, when i started reading i laughed but by the time i got to the ball lightning story i was less, as i still am while writing these reply
it scared me because its the most realistic thing on this thread, and the only thing that can defintley bring to death.
well, it deserves me right to be scared less, im sitting in my house, nobody else is here atm, and the hour is 3:30 am |

yeah same. I didnt really know much about it, but that thread provoked me to do some research. if you check out the link i posted above, it's really freaky.
I mean they can burn perfect holes through metal, pass straight through glass, or small gaps and reform exactly on the otherside..
they can be different colours, they can form almost anywhere... and there is no explanation for them that is solid. that to me, is a rather freaky thing to consider. |

FFS ive gotten chills from almost all the stories here ACK!
i cant recall anything weird atm but ill tell you about my friend Maria Isabel. Alright so this girl is originally from Ecuador but was adopted at an early age. She sees "ghosts" I you not. The funny thing is that she always mentions these incidents so casually because she has gotten used to it by now. for instance, at school one morning shed be like hey elena i saw that old man's ghost again in my room today, etc etc.
She was lying down on her bed reading a book until she felt the side of the bed sink in as if someone had just sat down. She put her book down and looked around but nothing/no one was there. so she kept reading her book until a weird presence started humming and singing into her ear. She says it was an old woman that kept stroking the side of her face and singing.
The most frequently seen ghost is of an old man. she says that he sort of "traveled" with her through her furniture. since her mother collects antique furniture she says that the old man's "ghost" has been traveling around with her and tells me the story behind the furniture.
weird eh? |

I SHALL NOW SETTLE YOUR MIND! :D You say it's a thunderstorm. Your explanation is a crystal clear description of the phenomenon known as BALL LIGHTNING. It's a naturally occuring phenomenon and is rare. But it happened to my Grandmother when she was young, it entered through the window, bounced in front of her and snapped. Very freaky!
BALL LIGHTNING does not look like "lightning." Instead, it usually appears as a mysterious glowing sphere which drifts horizontally through the air. It is typically the size of a grapefruit, but sometimes appears as small as a pea, or as large as a bus. It sometime hovers at a few feet or tens of feet altitude, but can also bounce along the ground. It usually lasts only a few seconds, but sometimes persists much longer. Various colors of "BL" have been seen, sometimes it changes colors, and sometimes it has internal structures such as glowing layers or moving sparks. BL once was thought to be rare, but this was because eyewitnesses feared ridicule and didn't make reports. In reality a few percent of the population has seen BL close up. Today most researchers agree that it is real, yet its nature is still highly controversial, and no sensible theories yet exist to explain it.

Consider yourself remarkably lucky to have witnessed such a thing! |
omg you rule! i had no idea such a thing existed! i'm so glad that it was something that could have killed me instead of a ghost..haha!
yeah so it turns out to be scarier than if it was an orb or something! holy crap! but that seems like the best explanation, and i am a very rational person.
the radio interference i had thought about. it's possible. but it's improbable also b/c there were no radios or tvs in the house. but still i will take that over a ghost anytime.
but i am still confused about the whistling. and the banging in my room. once i was in my room and i was lying awake, scared as i was every night, and it sounded like somebody bumped into my dresser. i heard the things on it shake and everything. and my dogs were not in my room. actually i never told my dad anything that happened , and he told me that he thinks the room is haunted (he moved into it after i moved out) and he doesn't want to sleep in it. weird!
he's so scared that he refuses to stay in the house alone. when my mom goes on vacation for a few days in a month he wants me to stay at the house with him, hahah! |

It's probably just an unconscious psychological reaction. Either your body subconsciously takes on a repetitive reaction at typically the same time frame (look around at a clock) or perhaps people hear about the whole 11:11/9:30 thing and whenever they look at a clock at that time they make a note of it and regard it as being significant. Nevermind the billion times they looked at the clock and it was 3:35, 5:34, 7:23, or some other completely random number.
Seems like a more believable explanation than the universe or time playing tricks on you. |
