It's probably just an unconscious psychological reaction. Either your body subconsciously takes on a repetitive reaction at typically the same time frame (look around at a clock) or perhaps people hear about the whole 11:11/9:30 thing and whenever they look at a clock at that time they make a note of it and regard it as being significant. Nevermind the billion times they looked at the clock and it was 3:35, 5:34, 7:23, or some other completely random number.
Seems like a more believable explanation than the universe or time playing tricks on you. |
Bless this forum, I learn something new here all the time.
I remember when I was a kid I would see 11:11 all the time. I never knew this was a phenomena that happened to so many people as well. I really thought I was the only one that had ever had this happen to. Thanks to the person who posted the idea to search for 11:11 on google, I did that and did some serious reading. Although I don't believe it had anything to do with opening a gate or any of the other silly theories floating around. It was significant to me that so many other people shared this phenomena.
Like I said now that I got older, I've never experienced this for so long. I'd never saw any other number like 11:14 or 11:12, always 11:11. It was the weirdest thing and lasted almost throughout my entire childhood. I think I had it a lot worst than most people.
I know it's kinda kooky, and I do accept the explanation of 'your body subconsciously takes on a repetitive reaction at typically the same time frame' etc...still weird stuff. |

It would kind of make sense for a person to take special notice of an 11:11 time. Simply because it stands out as being the only time that repeats itself 4 times. There's no 22:22, 33:33, etc. So perhaps one would take notice or actually remember a time of 11:11 over something completey random. Maybe you look at the clock at 9:26 just as often and it simply doesn't register in your brain. That's my guess at least ... |

| can somebody seriously tell me really quick why 9:30 is like 11:11? i guess im retarded but maybe i missed something. |

| 9:30 is kinda irrelevent here, actually my friend says that she always looks at the clock when its nine-thirty. so i just thought it related to 11:11 |

I get dejavus all the time so thats pretty normal now hehe.
Few freaky things have happend tho in my life when .
One night when every 1 went to bed in my house and i mean every one, i decided to watch some tv in my room and that way i can drift off to bed, so there i was laying watching it hoping 2 fall asleep when my bedroom door opens a good 10cm or so and i see a female hand on the handle (duhh how else will it open) then it stops and im sitting there waiting for my mum to come in as i asume it was her,,,, nope no one at all so i thought maybe mum got abit sidetracked and walked else where, so i walked outside of my room to find everyone asleep and when i asked my mum next mourning she knew nothig about it,,,,, belive it or not but i was fukin freaked out.
Next one is the one i still remember when i was about 8, and thats when i lived in my home land where i was born (estonia) and one night my mum and dad went out and left me alone as i was trusted and was going to bed anyways. outside of my room there was 3 dogs that we had at time, and all of the night they would walk on lino there and here maing heap of freakin noise. And i sudenly hear them stop thinking they finaly went to sleep as well, as that thought left my head i heard someone walk slowly outside of my room in what i heard as big gum boots, i went under my blankets and heard that freaky walking go on for few minutes after which it was back to normal and dogs began to walk around again. It has never left my head since.
Then i think i saw an angel but once again it must have bein a twisted person. Here it goes.
I was going for a walk with my friends and as we walked past cemetery we stoped and i noticed this one lady all in white walking past the grave stones, so i thought what a weirdo im sure you would wear that to a plice like a freakin graveyard. So yeh 50/50 here.
Theres alot of crap happend where i felt i was watched, and heard things along with seing floating colour balls but i try to forget about them and moove one with life as being scared wont get you far :) |

| hmm with the whole 11:11 thing... I definately think its a whole subconscious thing because when I was at my prime of weed smoking (all day every day for about 5-6 months) Every afternoon when I'd look at the clock it would be 4:20, EVERY TIME, never anything within a 20 minute radius... I don't get this anymore even though I still smoke, just not as much as i used to and I don't think about it anywhere near as often.. I believe our minds have an internal clock and for some people 11:11 is just the simplist number to subconsciously remember which may explain why so many people experience the same thing, but when you think about smoking weed all day then 420 is always in your subconsious :D |

Humans adhere to routine very easily. Our bodies function along a day to day routine/timeline of awake hours, eating and sleeping. We do have an internal body clock, which tells us where things fit in. so the 11.11 etc occurances aren't really strange, its routine.
This does however depend on whether u believe it is your body clocks controlling when you check the time, or is the external time telling your body clock what to do (as the only constant change is time). Are you inherently draw to one time more than another? Does that time actually mean anything?
I dunno really, jst thoughts ive had!!! |

There is if you use 24hr time :).
Anyway, I generally wouldn't believe in these ghost stories if it weren't for one incident that happened to me which I can't explain. I was about 10 years old, and I woke up in the middle of the night. My bed was right against the wall, and when I looked at the wall, I saw a shadow poking out of the slit between the wall and the bed which resembled a sort of triangle. Now it was very strange as there was full moon, so the room wasn't very dark, and yet the shadow was much darker than any other shadows in the room, it was pitch black infact. When I looked around the room there was no object between the window and the wall that could have caused any shadow. I was scared somewhat, closed my eyes for a few minutes, looked back again and it was still there. I tried to ignore it and to convince myself it was a shadow caused by some object I didn't percieve and somehow managed to fall to sleep. In the morning it was gone and when I told my parents they just disregarded it as a regular shadow. But, what really freaked me was what happened the next few nights. I woke up in the middle of the night again, and instinctively looked back at the wall to see if the shadow was there again. It was, and this time there were 2 triangles, one right next to the other. The light switch was on the other side of the room so I just stayed in the dark, and somehow forced myself to sleep again. The third night, the shadow grew even larger, and I noticed it resembled a dog or a wolf head, with those triangles being the ears. At this time I begged my parents to sleep in their room, but they said something along the lines "don't be a , there's nothing there". Now, on the fourth night, the shadow was there again, but this time it was really freaky. It had 2 red glowing eyes. This time I became fully convinced it was not a regular shadow. I looked at it for a few minutes, and it just stayed there, not moving. I fell asleep again, but I didn't say anything to my parents this time because they'd probably think I'm crazy. Now, the next few nights, the shadow began oscillating, meaning each night it was missing a part (ear or an eye), but each time it was a different one. Finally it began missing more and more parts untill it reduced itself to the original triangle and then disappeared completely. Even to this day, more than 10 years later, I am still scared to look at the wall next to my bed when I wake up in the middle of the night. I still can't find a rational explanation about what the hell that thing was.
Here are also a few interesting ones, but not nearly as scary as that one:
I was at my dad's friend's house, and I slept in a basement room with a computer in it. Every morning when I woke up, I heard a sounde of mouse clicking from the computer. When I got to the computer, the sound disappeared.
My friend's computer speakers often turn on at a random time and you can hear some german radio or tv speaker talking. The funny thing is they do the same even if the computer or the speakers themselves are turned off. I've been there myself and heard them do it. They're probably catching some radion transmission or something, but it's kinda interesting since Germany is not that near. He says it's rather irritating because they often wake him up in the middle of the night.
My mom once had a dream about some dodo-like birds under her bed, and when she woke up, she looked under the bed and saw those very birds. |

i disagree, the only neverchanging thing is the fact that changes will ALLWAYS occur, while on the other hand "time" is dependent on where are you checking it from? (diffrent places on earth = diffrent time, diffrent places in the universe = diffrent time LENGTH)

yeah so it turns out to be scarier than if it was an orb or something! holy crap! but that seems like the best explanation, and i am a very rational person.
the radio interference i had thought about. it's possible. but it's improbable also b/c there were no radios or tvs in the house. but still i will take that over a ghost anytime.
but i am still confused about the whistling. and the banging in my room. once i was in my room and i was lying awake, scared as i was every night, and it sounded like somebody bumped into my dresser. i heard the things on it shake and everything. and my dogs were not in my room. actually i never told my dad anything that happened , and he told me that he thinks the room is haunted (he moved into it after i moved out) and he doesn't want to sleep in it. weird!
he's so scared that he refuses to stay in the house alone. when my mom goes on vacation for a few days in a month he wants me to stay at the house with him, hahah! |
hehe, glad I could help there! also, you dont necesarrily need radios in the house, radio waves from radio stations nearby could quite easily pass through. |

| This isn't really a haunting but it freaked the hell out of me. I remember when I was back in grade school and we were grading spelling papers with the teacher. And this one girl Danielle had something wrong with her paper. She said she had apparently missed a problem because her paper was screwed up. So the teacher read through the words again and still something was wrong. So a few people went over to try to see what's wrong and I looked over the paper again and again and I just thought 'holy .' The numbers 1-20 were all there and all the words were there, but she still had one slot left for a word. It confused the hell out of me. ANd i know this sounds really really stupid but I studied the paper for a looong time and i just could not explain what the hell happened. I still cannot comprehend this without getting lost and having a headache. |
