I've noticed that a lot of American culture has been using more and more trance and electronic music. For instance, CSI Miami. The entire reason why I started watching that was because I was flipping channels and saw Horatio stage a suicide with a doll.. but in the background was Sasha - Magnetic North. In another episode, they went to a club and Jan Johnson - Flesh was being played. And just tonight, I was in the shower with ESPN radio playing and during a segment of a show, Sasha - Fundamental was used as the background music... SWEET!!!

Not really much point in my post. Just thought I'd share. Anyone else recall any other instances where non-bighit trance songs were used??
funny u should say that cause i was watchin csi too an i heard in the background what i could have sworn was golden arm i was like WHOOT WHOOT... needless to say i was elated hearin it made me wanna go listen to airdrawndagger:toothless :toothless :tongue2

Yeah, cuz a majority of Americans are frankly very stupid. They don't realize how good this music is and will continue listening to that pop and rap garbage

I agree with you to a certaint extent, I think we are what we listen to and most of the North American kids listens to Pop, R&B are pretty stupid, not all though, some just listen to it because that's all they know and hear on the raio and TV and all their friends listens to it, it's tough for North Americans people in general to listen to trance when the whole culture surrounds around pop and R&B music, like myself, all my friends listens to cheesy pop and R&B where it's more important to look stutty for your video or look really tough with a band aid on your face than the music it self, they think something is wrong with me because I to the non-mainstream music, music that has very little "singing" and music that is only about music, they just can't seem to understand why I'm so weird to listen to this "Techno" music.

I have been noticing that almost every medium uses Trance IN THE BACKGROUND. If you're watching MTV, it will be played when the VJs are talking. If you're listening to the radio, and they do a station ID (ex: "You're listening to x..X...X FM") with awesome Trance in the background.

It's funny how the future of sound takes a backburner to cheesy 808 break beats.

Yeah, I saw that too! Its so funny because MTV Europe embraces dance music while MTV USA is so the opposite, except they use all this electronic background music...posers.

I like this current state EDM is in. Not too popular, but not too underground either. Just wish my city had more clubs that played EDM. Too much hip hop and around here.

basically with american culture for now, you will hear the most popular dance tune of the moment or from a few years ago played on tv and in films or whatever
america is all hip hip now just look at the charts, and when you try to mention dj tiesto, pvd, armin or whoever most americans will say
"oh what is that , isent that rave music where people take extacy and use glow sticks" it gets me pissed off. but there is a great deal of people in america who are into clubs and the underground scene
i say in 5 more years you will see alot more quality dance music in american culture
