Best DJ of 2003? (pg. 3)

Im sick of the same old talenless djs winnin it. Yes they may be big names but they def aint the most talented out there. i guess i cant really say that bout sasha n digs but def tiesto. Sasha and digweed may well be good djs but still i dont agree that they are the best in the world. The best djs are the ones that play out to crowds every week and every week perform to their best. not some overpayed dj who playes out when ever they feel like and only now and then puts out a good set.

Again, not flaming.. just stating.

I'm not flaming :D

But what does the size of the crowd have to do with the qulity of the performance? I would take a ASOT episode over Nyana anyday. Even when tiesto and AVB mix the same songs, I still like AVB's version better.

Oh... and lets keep in mind that AVB is what... 10 years younger then tiesto! Imagine AVB in 10 years :tongue3  :eyespop: :toocool:

Anyway, my vote goes to Danny Howells :tongue2

A great DJ like Tiesto makes great productions and so the dude gets a lot more respect as a DJ because of his own productions in his sets! So what you were saying is crap!!

It has alot to do with the quality of performance. When there is more people in the crowd, it is harder for the DJ to keep everyone happy because there is so many people who have different taste. Tiesto kept 20,000 people dancing.. so it means his selections and mixing were outstanding. It is hard to keep your composure when there are thousands of eyes on you.

Hehe. True he is younger, but age of a person doesn't have anything to do with the age of experience. Tiesto has more experience, but AVB is not too far behind, so don't even start this age nonsense. Phil Mickelson is older than Tiger Woods, yet Woods kicks his ass. They have similar number of years of experience however, and thats what matters. Oh, and TALENT has alot to do with it. hehe

you're confusing being a good dj with being a popular dj.

if you produce good tunes you become more popular.

but you don't become a better dj by playing your tunes.

about the age thing, it doesn't have anything to do with being good now. it just says that armin has more potential of becoming better than tiesto, who is starting the fall of his career. all of this only if you believe that age does really have to do with your dj'ing skills (i can't say that i'm convinced by that)

Popular doesn't always equal good I agree.

Theres some real in wankers in here that are the reason people like tiesto get voted best dj in the world. following wots popular rather than whos got the most talent, in Sheep. why dont all u out there (mostly yanks who know all bout the scene, sorry but its tru) go seek out the djs that put the most work into their sets instead of just the overpayed djs who will play to anyone who wants to hear as long as they scream their name.
