But no ... this is me:

You'll have to excuse my appearances, normally I dye my hair and wear a beret.

You say you're taking echinacea? Are you sick or something? They have a wonderful supplement called moducare. It's made for balancing your immune system. Echinacea is made specifically to boost your immune system. Balancing is much more important. I would only take echinacea if you are sick, have a sore throat. Along with Goldenseal.

:)

Make sure what you are taking is natural. If it says d-supplement then it's natural. if it says dl-supplement it's got some natural plus some synthetic. Then if it just says l-supplement, it's waaay not natural.

wow that is really interesting. does it matter if it has synthetic or not? it says dietary supplement anyway. i started taking it again recently cause i felt like i was getting sick. i dont get enough rest and it takes a big toll on my body. i dont generally take it unless i am feeling run down. but i always feel exhausted lately so i've been taking it a week or two.

i'd like to know more about this moducare. i dont understand what balancing the immune system means. where can i get some?

Do any of these apply to you?

Daily stress
Runny nose, itchy eyes
Minor joint pain / stiffness
Fatigue
Minor digestive problems
Feeling run down
Dizziness / brain fog
Frequent urination
Premature aging
Mild depression
Slow recovery / over-training

If you said 'yes' to any of the above, your immune system needs to be restored, strengthened and balanced.

The immune system is the body’s prime defense against infection and disease, yet there is a dark side to the immune response. Allergies, autoimmune disorders (when the body attacks itself, as in rheumatoid arthritis, for example) and generalized inflammation are results of an immune system gone awry. Conventional wisdom has it that the best way to maintain optimal immune function is to take immune boosters such as echinacea, but depending on the state of your body’s defenses, further stimulating the immune system may be the last thing your body actually needs.

Balancing, Not Boosting, Is Key to Optimal Immunity
According to Patrick J.D. Bouic, Ph.D., a leading plant sterol researcher and internationally respected professor of immunology from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, the key to maintaining an optimal immune system is balancing, not boosting. Bouic, who has spent more than a decade researching the effects of special plant compounds known as sterols and sterolins on immune function and immune balance, says balancing the immune system with plant sterols helps to reduce inflammation and heal many otherwise chronic conditions.

Over-living is a sense of being too tired to keep running and too scared to stop. The feeling of not being able to "get it all done," that is, working fifty plus hours, driving endless commutes, and finding yourself angry with traffic signs and signals. You are doing all you can to get your kids to practice, feed your pets, meet those deadlines, and find the time to nurture your body and spirit. Whether it is training for your favorite sport or just getting through the next day, the continued struggle and stress of being a human "doing" takes its toll.

Research shows that a diet rich in plant sterols and sterolins proves beneficial for immune system balance and strength. Consuming foods rich in these powerful compounds is at once delicious and daunting. Nuts, seeds, vegetables, and fruits in their natural, uncooked and unprocessed state, are sure immune-balancing bets.

I buy it at Apple Valley Foods. If they have a GNC, they might have it. Not positive. I know you can also buy it online.

The ingredients of any supplement should say what is in it. If you are suspicious if it's natural or synthetic, ask someone in the store to find out for you. Usually it's not a difficult thing to do. :)

interesting... that stuff defininetly does apply to me but i am fairly certain taht is is from a general lack of recovery time. though i think i might give it a shot anyway.
