well regarding homosexuality, you have to take into account 2 important things:
- In the early 1970's, The American Psychological Association objectively concluded that homosexuality is NOT a mental condition and should be regarded as a human characteristic.
- Homosexuality IS a statistical abnormality. Remember, only 2% of the US population consider themselves gay.
I'm not gay myself, but I've grown up around them my whole life (if you guys know about the Village and Chelsea in NYC, you know what I'm talking about). I can care less about what gays do. You wanna engage in homosexuality, by all means go ahead. I personally can't understand why since women are so damn beautiful, but hey, to each their own.
But when thinking out the box, I can understand why some people would bitch and moan that such a small percentage of the US population is given so much special treatment. But I also have a problem with creating laws specifically downplaying the odd gender preference. Neo-Cons are moronic and closeminded individuals. They need to live a little and go out more.
Conclusion? Hey, they're people just like you and me. Treat them as equals... |

Gays are given special treatment? Unless that special treatment is abuse, I have no idea what you could be talking about. |

Ahh...you caught me...i didnt reread my post carefully, i rescind that...what i meant to say was that i hope there doesnt come a point where gays are given special treatment simply through the attempts of govt righting their past wrongs because would/might have the ability to abuse it... |

OK..touche...but that's the few bad apples mentality because AA HAS done its job...it's not exactly utilitarian, but it's an improvement over nothing at all...right? |
