LOL, tinitus is when you have a constant beep in your ears, nothing can drown the sound. Really terrible and a lot of people have it, some more seriously than others...

everytime you go to a club your hearing is damaged.

This topic has been thoroughly researched before. @ every decibel level there is a period of time which you can listen continously before permanent damage occurs. This amount of time should be able to be found on the internet somewhere. I learned about this a long time ago in health class during high school. In anycase, the volume at a club will probably damage your ears if you listen continuously without break for over 15 minutes :eyespop:

My dad has tinitus from working in the airlines for 25 years. As long as your ears get rest time from the abuse, I guess you're fine. I think that a slow progression and even constant exposure to the music loudly is like "training" your ears to be stronger.

When your bones realize that they need to get stronger to compensate your muscles getting stronger and to compensate for newer harder stresses, they become stronger. I think your eardrums do the same.

I intend to use earplugs whenever possible while clubbing/@ concerts. I must take care of my precious ears, b/c my career in audio needs them.

Erg, I really can't afford to go deaf since I am also an airline pilot. Not just gonna loose my hearing but also my job! :(

I've read also that whereas loud music in general is damaging, it's the treble that is the most damaging.

Funny, as most ppl would reckon it would be the bass, but bass is a sudden damage, like it you put your ear right next to a bassbin wall, and your eardrum gets popped solely from the sheer pressure exerted into the air.
