*WOW* what a night! Armin really raised the bar this time. Seneca came through with a quali-T opening. Left the crowd chompin at the bit for when AVB came on :)
I'm just trying to belt out what I can remember before it fades.
Hmm... I forget the rest... a lot of tracks I hadn't heard tonight. Also was very hard.... but oh soooooo good :D
Nice meeting all the new faces, hopefully everyone can make it out for the next big party.:D
Anyways, lookin forward to CAW's photos to be sure. I mean it's not *everyday* I get to show people photos of the DJ standing on *top* of the dj booth!

Hey all. What a killer night. Thank you Kailya and Seneca for the meetup @ Connies with Armin. He is by far the nicest DJ to take the time out and meet and talk with the few of us that were lucky to meet him. The club was good as usual except for the Focker that did the lights and fog machine. My eyes were burning from so much damned fog juice in the air. I bet half of my pictures wont turn out b/c of the white haze in the air..... Seneca's opening rocked. got the crowd going... but i cant ID most of his music for the life of me. I know i heard some katana but there was a ton i dont know..
When armin started... ohhh the juices flowed!! He loves his job. All the dancing he did and the best was in the encore... him dancing on the DJ booth then coming into the crowd!

i thought Seneca was more impressive.
Armin was boring this time.
I think we've all seen him perform a lot better in the past.
For anyone who didn't go, it was another typical party night, no big deal.
...but that barbie-doll lookin girl walking around wearing only the blue bra was quite attractive |

When was the last time you saw Armin?And obviously you dont like his style because he raised his level amazingly compared to the last time he was here. |

naaah, it's better to be more critical of these guys...
i saw him last here in chicago, and in detroit.
i definitely like his style, i've been a fan since way back in the day when i first started playing records.
A lot of people paid a lot of money to see him, and he wasn't that impressive this time around.
i'm not one of those die-hard fans who drools over every move he makes back there in the booth.
he's not God...he's just a normal guy.
no big deal.
tiësto, however.... yes, perhaps. |

and tiesto's god?Why dont u ask this "god" of yours to make better Cd's than Nyana...and perhaps have dinner with us .
In between Tiesto was ~37.50-40$ at HOB..and Armin was just 25 |

haha hilarious...
come on... first off, Tiësto is a more skilled DJ than armin. He has more experience. (i mean, he's not the #1 DJ by accident here....) Tiësto is also a better producer.
And yes i agree.. House of Blues SUCKS.... any place with 18+ is always going to be lame... the venue has one third the capacity as Vision, drinks are half assed, and more costly, the light show sucks, etc, etc, etc....
And i agree again, the Nyana mixed CD is boring.
But that is ok, i think most mixed CDs suck compared to the live radio broadcasts or bootleg livesets which more accurately depict a DJs true character, poise, and style. |
