Ok, here is your chance to get off your chests once and for all, to have your say, your rant, etc etc on the TA mods ! !
Do you think the mods of TA are doing a good job, are we too harsh in some of our decisions, if we're going wrong, where do you think we're making mistakes etc
What do you like about the TA mods, where are we going right ?
be constructive in your replies, don't insult us, thats not the idea, the mods of TA are here to make TA better for you, and we all want to do a good job, so give us your feedback so that we can continue working for you and you can help make TA a better place for us all.

| I think you could be harsher at times... You seem to be doing the most thread closing and the others just... well, aren't there. This is particularily noticeable in certain forums (ie. Amateur Producers) where the people who are supposed to be mods there have probably never even been there. |

| I agree. The mods need to be more visible and take more action than what they are doing now. We could use a proper statement on the rules of this forum, too (esp regarding file sharing). Also, you guys need to sort yourselves out. I've seen a lot of bad mouthing and bashing between mods lately, and IMHO I think that it just might be affecting your performance as mods of this forum. There are also several mods that I haven't seen post anything for a long time. (i.e breakdown or Wicked Red) Perhaps a re-evaulation of who should/shouldn't be mods and a debate on potential replacements would be a good idea? |

agree, the smaller forums defently need some new mods that actually are active there... |

| perhaps there should be a rotation of mods as some become less active and care less about what goes on on these boards. |

I think that many people have been feeling recently that mods are letting personal issues influence their decisions as a mod.
For instance some mods have recently been banning people for issues they have had with people away from TA (such as banning people for things from IRC), or banning people in arguements where the mod has behaved just as badly as the suspended user.
My two cents, so to speak.

I think there should be some rules about what's generally acceptable and what isn't, and some message actually stating that MP3 sharing is not "supported". Because when there's MP3 downloads on the main page, the average newbie will most likely be unaware that these are cleared with the artists, and head straight for the forums asking for MP3's. Don't get me wrong, too many rules (like homeofmusic.com) can look unappealing and put people off but already with over 20,000 members, I think some little rules are pretty essential.
Another thing, I would issue an instant ban to members like this:

wtf r u talk'n about, this is TA not Underground Hip Hop, go urself, u in sucker get the out of here. |
And anyone who blatantly attacks somebody who has a different taste in music. Because that person has already shown that they are too immature to have a place on a discussion forum. So if they can't have proper discussions and will attack people for liking something they don't like. Why have them here? People like this are IMO the main problem of many online forums, much more of a problem than those who come and don't use the search topic or start a thread asking where to download music.
Anyway, that's my input for this. :) |

I agree with the homeofmusic comment. I used to love that place and was quite an active member. It was my first music forum ever and will always hold a special place in my heart. However, the overabundance of rules there drives everyone crazy.
The way I see it, being a mod is a thankless job. You're doing a fine job Neo. However, there are a few mods that are never active and therefore shouldn't be mods.
