well i had an awesome time...had all intentions of going to the pre party meetup..until i started driving and then realized i had a flat tire..everything was just going to smoothly that day, and i knew something was bound to go wrong, so we had to turn around come back home and hop in glittergirls car ( half way to dc i call my dad and beg him to go to my house and fix my tire while i'm out partying!)we still made good timing to DC but a friend warned me about the hurrendous traffic and we decided to just hang in DC til the cub opened. i thought PVD had an awesome set..and i don't think it was as crowded as when he was there last december. to all the people who complain about the crowds what do you expect?! i thought the vibe was awesome i was up front and it was packed with lots of PVD fans dancing and having a good time.
i think bouncers are s at every club, iv'e never had a bad bouncer experience at glow and iv'e been going there for a while, but i think in general bouncers are s, i think it's something you have to expect when you go to a club..iv'e had tonz of probs with them at numerous clubs. now i'm just waiting for tiesto
highmay- we finally got to meet!!
brian- lol..iv'e heard so much about these pics...you crack me up..i need to see them..lol :haha: :D |

aight ya'll....time to critique....well, first off, we got there a little later than planned at around 11ish, and drove around for about 20 mins looking for a spot. we eventually found one about 2 blocks from the club, i dont know how we lucked out. apparently there was so much traffic from some p diddy party held at dream...
got there and the line wasnt bad at all, no hassle from the bouncers, no prob with our tickets...i was actually amazed. we get inside and pretty much stake out our spot for the whole night. we were in the middle back, by the poles. but i saw NO ONE!! the only ta's i saw were harrison (surferfb), highmay, brian (vtec), jose (galdamez), joel (snotbubbl), jane(daffodil), arturo, and beema. but, i really wasnt trying to get smushed up front...the back was still packed but not nearly as bad as up front.
pvd did aight. there were some parts that i really enjoyed but most of the night lacked any real hype. the crowd had no energy, prolly due to the fact that they couldnt move. it was def packed, but i think back in december when he came was worse.
i had a blast chilling with my crew and of course my baby! i think glow really needs to book big names for a bigger venue....itd be a better turnout with a more excited crowd. overall, it was fun....but nothing spectacular.
btw, what was that song toward the end of pauls set that had male vocals saying "you're so..." i really liked it, any help?
:) |

Well, I had fun although I was pissed at Glow for being such false advertising pricks. I shelled out $60 for that October pass, which basically was just a bunch of crap. They advertised "guaranteed admission to both VIP balconies" but when I was actually there with my ticket in hand I inquired about it they said you need to buy your VIP for $20 more to have access.
I had to pee so bad I couldn't wait any longer for my friend to park the car so I just went inside the club. Well, he comes in 15 minutes later holding 3 VIP necklaces so I'm like "Awesome!" He tells me that he just bought them and that they are for him and 2 other friends that were still on the way. He was dumbfounded as to why I didn't get my own since my month long pass was advertised with GUARANTEED ACCESS... I tried talking to several employess but was just brushed away like I didn't matter. Anyway, I'm writing Groove Tickets a nice letter later today because Glow obviously was pulling a bait and switch or something of that nature. False advertising is just wrong, and for them to tell me that I still needed to BUY my VIP was like a slap in the face.
The place was too damn crowded but what can you do? I still managed to dance in the confines of my own little 2' x 2' space that I carved out of the crowd. There was a group of idiots that just kept pushing their way to the front of the crowd on the left side of the DJ booth. They seemed to push everyone else back a foot or two everytime one of them joined the group. I know that at one time I just stood in place dancing while they were trying to push, but I stood my ground (much to their dismay.) One dude even said something to me but I was just like "Dude, I was standing five feet further up until your friends started pushing people back, so that I'm not moving." He just looked at me like I was some kind of .
Okay, so now that's all said I must confess that I did have a good time hanging by myself on the dance floor the entire night (while my friends were in VIP.) I know I saw a few TA's but I didn't really feel like talking because the dance floor was so damn loud it would have been a shouting match trying to communicate.
I thought that Paul's set was good but nothing extraordinary. I was psyched that he dropped
because I really needed to hear that on a high-watt sound system!!!!!!!
Yeah it was a bit repetitious but fawk it, it still rocked me! |

ok ok ok..here is my review...it's monday morning, just woke up from my recovery..hmmmmm, coffee is soo tasty:D
drove up to dc with dani and arthur...everything was smooth sailing then BAMM!!! major traffic jam on IS 95!!!! HUGE accident that halt cars for 45 minutes  like dani was saying, we pumped some pvd and took pics...we even attempted to walk to the crash site...lmfao we were almost there and the traffic started to move :wtf: lmfao so we had to speed walk back to the car!!! anyways that was an adventure, d00d, we saw one of the car, omfg the mercedes looked like a tin can that hit the highway wall facing the opposite direction...god bless the passengers coz i know they didn't survive that accident :(
ok ok...so it's 8 o'clock..we were 30 minutes late for dinner....dani pressed on the gas...phew by 8:45 we got to cafe asia...everyone was basically finished or taking last bites of their dinner.....here we are , fashionably late, strolled into cafe asia lmfao:haha: dinner was delicious. i had mang ling lang noodle (haha it was good, i forgot the name of it)i was famished, so i ordered an appetizer as well....:/ i basically inhaled my food coz everyone was already leaving!!! peter, great job with the meetup, nice place :D
so we left cafe asia and headed to downtown dc....after the never ending pit stop at gas stations lmfao and kimmi cutting us off
:wtf: we finally hit constitution avenue...and it wasn't a happy site...the freakin traffic was UNBELIEVABLE!!!! you think nyc traffic was bad, this was horrible!!!! ugh  and to add the final punch to my stomach!!!! john's (jdats) car stalled on him ..IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THAT TRAFFIC JAM!!!!.... so we had to push it to the curb, tried to jump start it..NOTHING!! so we had to look for a parking spot for it...thank god, after like 10 minutes of looking for a spot...i saw the truck next to us was leaving...omfg, what a relief!!! we didn't have to push it again....d00d, i'am telling you, this was a NEVER ENDING MISSION ...getting to glow..hahaha ...we jumped back in traffic just to experience another 30 minutes of traffic just getting to glow which was only 5 minutes away from jdat's car  we made the best of it....we were pumping PVD!! dani, making her 10th illegal moving violation:haha: :haha: ....taking pictures of street signs that said INDIANA :D :D cutting john..in his cougar!!! ...talking to some hip hop thug..coz they were everywhere blasting 50 cent... i can't!!!!!! i was talking to him , letting him know that people in dc can't drive for ..omfg i was suprised i didn't get killed :haha: :haha: i showed him the camera , told him to say cheese and he was like no pictures!!!! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i clicked anyhow..lmfao you will see the picture once dani post them!!! soo funny, i told him we were the paparazzi!!!!! hey you gotta make the best of an almost killed night :(
a glint of smile appeared when i saw glow, but then came down when i saw the long ass line...we still had to find parking space....omfg...we went in circle until i got dizzy and finally we found a parking space like a block away from glow...we literally ran there, got our will call ticket, CUT THE LINE :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: got inside like in the matter of 5 minutes!!!!! so phew!!!!! we were in at 1:00 AM , just to be pushed around once we got in the main entrace!!! the club was ehhh, small...the only great thing was the dj booth...edgar v was spinning...i wanted to calm down, chill and wanted to down a bottle of vodka ...but i choose to stand in the "pit" coz i didn't want to miss paul's entrace!!! but to my dissapointment, paul was late and edgar was still playing at 1:15...don't get me wrong, edgar was doing a great job even though we only heard his last 4 songs...:(
i saw most of the ta crew...brian, it was really great meeting you at last :D , rueben, it's been great, thanks for the warning concerning the speaker :p , mebot (sorry didn't catch your name) you were going nuts man!!! you go!!! coz i surely didn't have the energy :( shannon and tom...w00t great of you wearing and representing vandit!!! hey what is vandit by the way???? :wtf: :haha: :wtf:
paul finally was in the dj booth around 1:45 ..people were going nuts..i was getting pushed. i gave it my all...i was somewhat excited but just too tired....i was really happy when he played "holding onto nothing" i was singing along to the lyrics along with dani, brian and jdat...:D after that i just got pushed and yes getting pushed more ..then i said to myself THAT'S IT!!! it's time to get drunk!!! i NEEDED a drink like a crack addict that was craving for crack :haha: :haha: i usually don't drink but i told myself FCUK this...it took us 4 hrs and drama to get here, mind as well get drunk....sooo i crawled and pushed my way to the bar and ordered my cranberry vodka...ahhhhhhhh soo good...my second....ahhhhhh ehhh, waaaaaaa...i guess the heat and aggrivation made me feel wozy :wtf:  :wtf: sooo i asked jose if i can borrow his press pass ..i need to sit down and relax..i didn't feel good...i went to the vip room..scooped it out...it was ok, just a bunch of very important people getting drunk and smacked....then BAMM someone tapped me ...long and behold it was no other than arturo...i chatted with him for a brief momment...tried to get him drunk with me, but he ordered water and i ordered another cranberry vodka :/ lmfao...we left the vip room, he said he had to go the other way and i said bye...i just stood around, observed the chaos and listen to paul and yes sipping my drink haha...then then i bumped into edgar v by the bar..he waived at me and i said hi..chatted for a brief second then made my trip back to the bar....i really didn't know how much cranberry vodka i had but it was enough to get me sick :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: omfg...i really paid for it...i wanted to puke it all out together with my ming ling lang dinner lmfao :haha: :haha: :haha: but i just chilled at the bar and relaxed....i saw my nyc friends that made the trip ...danced with them for a lil while then i don't know i just left them...bwahhahaha....two cuties were trying to talk to me , and of course with my slobbery self, made an ass out of myself...the second cutie was trying to get me to the bathroom....but i couldn't go thru the crowd coz i was scared i was just gonna let it all out..so i declined his offer lmfao...DANG!!! :( went back to the vip room...crashed in the couch...as i was beginning to close my eyes and listening to paul's time of our lives for the 2nd time...i felt a presence in front of me and it was brian...dang i was relieved that someone that i know found me...but was too incoherant to talk to him..bwahhahaahhaahahaha sorry bri...i know i was prob a mess ...thanks for leaving me alone :(
ok let me stop!!!! overall..to sum it all up,pvd's set was great but the whole trip just killed it....great meeting new ta's had fun with you's all...

I saw PVD in Atlanta on Thursday night and also in DC on Saturday night. I thought the energy in both sets were there, just that the population in GLOW was ridiculous!.. For my first experience there, the crowd was definitely a distraction from PVD.
I did meet some awesome people tho.. Ryan! i had a blast rockin' out with you.. (this is john btw).
Hi-lights of the night, the mix from Motorcycle into Katana - Tribal Shock.. the energy was intense :D
Overall i had an awesome night.. PVD twice in one weekend is always a plus ;) and wednesday in Atlanta: ARMIN VAN BUUREN for the FIRST time EVER!! |

Wow dude that sucks about the VIP thing..Why the hell would they expect you to pay more when you're already guaranteed VIP access. Is this a problem though with Groovetickets? it seems to me that your beef is with the Glow staff. I dont know what Groovetickets can do to help you.. but if they do write back let us know what they said. |

despite all the complaints I had a great night
now first of all the meetup was fun great pick on that Peter!
Getting to Glow on the other hand that was quite a challenge :haha: First of all the massive roadrage in our lil group :D  then for my car breaking down on constitution Ave, like the most embarassing thing in my whole life having to push the car in traffic for 15 20 minutes and have people from the other lane ask me " you ok ? " no my car broke down :stongue:
Finally had Daniela come and find me and tried saving the day but it didn't work out right just then we had to wait till morning to see about towing the car etc..... Once again a billion THANK YOUs to you Daniela for your help and many sorries to everyone that I held up with my car issues ( john from PA & his friend, indy and artur ... sorry if I forget any names )
Now Glow itself that was the quickest thing getting in ( nothing beats cutting in line yeah yeah out of towners have all the excuses in the world :toothless )
To the night itself I really appreciated the set ( maybe cause it was so much better compared to the show in Cleveland which kinda sucked ) but place a lil too packed :clown: :nervous: Glow AkA the human sardine can.
If I had had to pick between Clevo and DC it would have been DC hands down; both shows were packed, one show had better music and sound ( yeah it was DC quite amazingly ).... so you get my point " HOW BAD COULD CLEVELAND HAVE BEEN THEN ? "
I don't regret it one single bit that I came for this, being able to see everyone ( that I did see ) and party on for a couple hours is one of those things that makes a lil cheeky monkey like me smile :p
BLEH I'm so freaking busy at work today ..... took me about an hour to type this post :whip: .... add to that the fact I'm so tired I barely slept the whole weekend ( wouuuheeeee I slept two hours in my car on the way back :nervous: so comfy ) ( Quite a miracle that I made it back home with my screwed up battery LOL I stalled at a toll booth on the way back .... I tried to push the car 5 10 times to get it started cause no one would give me a jump :whip: :toothless :toothless )
In my terms this weekend was total ownage ( yeah I got owned by my car :tongue2 ) |

At the worst they'll see that there was false advertising/misrepresentation of their tickets, which I bought through Groove-Tickets with my credit card. |

File a complaint with groovetickets, state they were trying to piggy back a charge on the ticket ( unjustifiable overcharge on an advance purchase ) .......... I saw a local promoter ask people 5 bucks extra on advanced tixx supposedly to cover sales tax ... yeah whatever. That must have gone in someones pocket.
You'd be amazed how much shadyness there is in clubs but because it's too much of a hassle to file an actual complaint most problems like that go unnoticed from a legal point of view....Problem is inferior to having it delt with :/
Try and deal with this through Groovetickets but nothing guarantees that they can really help. Also get in touch with Glow one way or another ....
Good luck  Wish things weren't so shady. |
