damn. it's times like this i wish i could keep TA's life stories straight in my head. i remember all these threads about ppl's lives that they post but i usually forget who they belong to so the historical context gets lost on me. regardless, you have to admit it sucks to have a kid if you arent ready for it.

Here you go!

its more of an issue of "does the current economic structure support a 19 year old couple with a kid?" the answer is no. Its almost impossible to find a job that will support that family, and that means they both get to work. and that means the kid doesnt get taken care of.

it isnt a matter of if they are mentally and spiritually prepared for this incredible journey (slight sarcasm), its just that the society isnt prepared for it, and will refuse to help. Im pissed because I dont think the child should uniwittingly be placed into such an environment.

damn i didnt realize he is 19. i agree on the financial part. hopefully his or her parents will help (that is very common these days). but i agree that at 19 it is hard to move foward with your life with a kid. which is why i have no kids... not ready to give up my life yet.

With the information that you've given us Mec, I really think if abortion is not an option, adoption should be a consideration. There are many wonderful people in the world who would provide a wonderful home and life for a child.
