uhh my head
i had a wicked night tho. it was a bit strange not havin the other half there due to a last minute stomach bug but i soldiered on :p
came in after 1.5 hours of quing to the frantic arena, that areana was wicked! shan and wossisname were ing class! then i went into main arena and gabriel + dresden bored the out of me, every tune seemed to be all with the same vibe, which probably has a lot to do with them playing too much of their own stuff :/
scott bond was wicked for half an hour, IMO they should have took g&d off at the normal time and just straight swapped bondy for tiesto in the lineup.. then up came pvd. to my utter surprise he was actually good! he played quite a bit of stuff with bollocks. he went a bit pansy in the middle but it was still better than ive ever seen him play in the last 3 years.
then it was time for some dave clarke in bugged out. and me how has that place still got a roof?? by far my favorite set of the night! then i pretty much stayed in there for the rest of the night for some green velvet and some phil kieran, both of whom were good.
made a quick trip back into frantic at the end to get ma coat.. and jesus ing christ anne savage was playing some ridiculously hard hard house.. im sure my ears were bleeding when i came out!
all in all top night, good to see u all again! |

The Bugged Out arena was amazing - Dave Clark and Justin Robertson were wicked :D
We listened to about 45 minutes of Plump DJs and they sounded fab - what we saw of Gabriel and Dresdon was pretty good, they played a lot harder towards the end to what I expected. Scott Bond was great as usual, PVD sounded good from the corridoor - we needed a sit down by then!
I'm not really sure where we were after Dave Clark (I think we were listening to Green Velvet tho I can't remember!) I know we heard the end of Armin's set which was surprisingly good, we left the main arena pretty much as soon as Ferry came on but it sounded okay. We spent the last hour sat in the corridoor outside the Bugged Out arena listening to Phil Kieran which sounded like very messy techno :stongue: |

review first then piccies :)
I think us londoners did quite well to get in at around the same time as Jeff and others considering we got there at 10 past 9. Some qulaity q jumping tactics by kate there :toothless
So we missed some of G&D but again what we heard was pretty much the same as what we heard the previous night in london, so all good :) I still wnant to know the name of the tune that has a male vocal chorus bit that goes "I feel the Light" proper tunage :)
CAn't believe Scott only got half an hour, he was wicked for all that he was on.
Motorcycle live PA was spot on like at London :D
Tiesto was good, i don't remmber him playing traffic though :conf: He should have finished with Adagio for Strings and that would have blown your mionds hehe.
PvD was like usual, we got Holding onto Nothing again :D and Crush :D and Introspection :D
Armin was poo tunewise. Like someone said bfore, the beautiful things/1998 bootleg was pants. in fact all remixes of beautiful things are pretty rubbish.
Ferry was pretty baningg, but why did we ave to hear Punk again :whip:
Statyed for a bit of Jules, was quite surprised to hear Happiness Happiing, and we also get a lush tune by G&M Project? ?I think Luke told me the name, but i can't remember :stongue:
Pics and Video Clips up when i get home :) |

pretty much what the above said for the djs, except i went to see green velvet who was class, there was even a girl live singing "la la land" :D
i went to see villa play earlier, plus being up from 3am the night before meant i was already exhausted in the queue at 9pm :(
but anyways, had 2 drinks inside before my stomach ulcer started playing up so that was the end of my drinkling for the night! was feeling like shít the whole time, plus the fact when pvd and tiesto were playing it was so fúcking cramped and there was no decent air ventilation system in place so by the time tiesto was on, i was sober, feeling like and breathing in stinking warm air. i was pretty píssed off :D
i was looking for the ukta crew from the start, finally saw that guy with the "t00t" tshirt and the girl who was with him, sorry i forget your name but i owe you one for introducing me to tu-face who hadnt a clue who i was. no bother mate, i dont post that much here :D but it was good to meet mike and all, got one or 2 pictures of you all so ill post them later on. sorry i didnt hang about for long, went up to see some other people i was dancing with to try and bring them down to where you were all standing but they were standing at the railings facing the stage so it was a good spot to lean against, then later on i couldnt find any of the TA crew :(
got back to the airport at 6am, and immediately felt a shooting pain in my bowels so i rushed to the toilet, and let off an obscene amount of diahorrea :happy2: :eyespop:
overall i rate the night 6/10. hopefully the next time i meet the ta crew itll be in a decent club with space to flail my arms about like a rabid thunderbird.
once again good to meet some of youse :) |

first thing i'll say is why the hell do they keep booking jules. he ruined the end to the night. i was surprised at the earlier part of his set cos it wasn't that bad but then it just went downhill and reached rock bottom at the end by playing cassius - the soud of violence (i think), for his 'one more tune'.
what a joke, the house version aint that great and the trance version imo is worse. why not carte blanche or similarly amazzing classics to finish? |
