Fyx,

Why don't you try the Beyerdynamic DT250-80's, too? What about just putting the Velour pads for those headphones on your V6's? coloring them silver like I mentioned earlier up?

THOSE would make 'em even better...and be fun to do, too!!

The ONLY differences between the MDR-7506 and the MDR-V6 that I see are the former has a gold-plated plug tip and cost $30~$40CDN more than the latter.

Starfox, Order the Velour Pads for the Beyerdynamic DT250-80 headphones from Beyerdynamic, of course!

Their webpage is www.beyerdynamic.com, and you can easily find the most appropriate contact information from there.

No, the goldplated plug doesn't do anything.

DJ-Energy, are you SURE you want to get the V700's? Try reading this thread a little. At LEAST go for some Technics, or something...
DJ-Energy
ya dude, i read and i still want the mdrv700
....

can anyone help??

This is partially correct. It does nothing to the sound coming out of the headphones. However, a goldplated plug does deliver a more reliable connection than a nickel-plated plug - and *coughCobycough* waaaaaay more reliable than an unplated bare-aluminum plug (as found on some VERY cheap headphones).

The absolute worst headphones I've ever used, were the big ass Sony's that everyone is using. I hate those damn things. I am partially deaf so I need to crank it much louder than other phones. These piece of s won't let me go a quarter of the way on the volume before breaking up. You know what the is reidiculous the Stanton phones which came with my friends DJ in a box kicks its ass. The most I would pay for those Soony's is like 20 bucks, and that's if I wanted to show off. I use the best one's stanton makes. Those you can crank 3/4's the way before you get any distortion. Plus initially they are louder than the Sony's. IE: I have the volume notch at one, and both the Sony's and Stanton's are plugged into the mixer. The Staton is louder. Plus even in comfort the stanton kicks the Sony's ass. It weights almost half as much as the Sony's. the MAINSTREAM , find out what really works for you. Just because everyone else uses it doesn't make it good.

i saw a rank 1 video live at trance energy, and i saw the dude wearing real nice looking technic head phones, can anyone help me out and find which one they are?

dj alonzo
Either the Technics RP-DJ1200 or the Technics RP-DJ1200a.. or maybe Technics RP-DJ1210...

p.s.
I use the RP-DJ1200 and they're awesome!!!
Gluegun
Yea, DJ-Energy, like I said, at LEAST go with something by Technics....those at least are durable and can get loud! :) Or, better yet, the ones I'm gaga about, the V6's...
