Has anyone here bought/used a Eurail pass (either Unlimited or Flexi)?
I'm thinking of getting one, but I wanted some feedback first.
I'm also thinking of travelling outside the Eurail area... how difficult and expensive is it to get tickets? |

i'll be back in TO in about a week and i'd be happy to share any info you need. it's quite easy to use but by no means tbe best way to travel. i find that the best way is a combination of rail, bus, and flight travel.
btw. lol @ drgoodvibe for resurrecting this thread.. we should all definately get together soon again for some travel talk ..
i'm off to GRanada tommorow .. started in Andalucia , ending in Andalucia !
ciao !

i bought the 3 month unlimited when i did europe for 4 months last fall. it was amazing. if you have an open schedule then i say you should go for a eurail. it was so convenient and i loved never having to worry about buying tickets or being locked into anything.
some days i'd be at a train station and change my mind last minute and hop on a train to a different city.
when my three months ran out i was already in countries like croatia/bosnia/serbia/turkey where there is no eurail coverage. its much cheaper to take buses in those countries anyway so you'll be ok.
anyway, if you need more info send me a pm.
